Frame Off Built Camaro SS Convertible EFI LS1 V8 T56 6 Speed 12 Bolt Wilwood PS
Chevy's first-generation Camaro might just be one of the coolest cars ever created. Extremely fun to drive, with plenty of power and striking good looks, these classics enjoy a cult-like following and provide one of the best ownership experiences on the planet. That unique combination of approachability and appeal has significantly contributed to the brand's continued rise in popularity. And builds like this clean SS convertible, with its modern small block and substantially improved suspension, are always hot sellers. Are you one of the many enthusiasts tirelessly searching for a captivating pony car? Don't miss your chance to claim this killer Camaro pro-tourer!
A PANTHER IN VIPER CLOTHING
Recently built into a lean, mean pavement-pounding machine, this spectacular Chevy wears a professional rotisserie restoration that features a number of thoughtful upgrades which modernize both its performance and appeal. The car's transformation started at East Coast Muscle Cars in Craley, Pennsylvania, where its solid panels were thoroughly stripped and fitted with high quality sheetmetal patches. With that patchwork complete, and those panels aligned to better-than-factory fit, new floors married a modified transmission tunnel. Viper Red base was accented with Dover White Rally Stripes, sealed in thick clear and capped with a power-operated roof. And today, this F1 sits as one eye catching classic that mixes major street presence with lethal curb appeal!
LS POWER
Toss the hood and you'll find a hot LS1 small block that, thanks to the skilled techs at Race Krafters Machine of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, makes a solid 400 horsepower. The forerunner to virtually all the technology still featured in Chevrolet pony cars, that F4-sourced mill utilizes all-aluminum construction, flat top pistons and coil near plug ignition straight out of the factory. At the top of the block, a conical air cleaner funnels wind in to a factory throttle body, which is bolted to an aftermarket intake. At the sides of that intake, ceramic-coated shorty headers reflect high quality MSD plug wires. In front of those headers, an oversized aluminum radiator swirls coolant around dual electric puller fans. A GM ECU and GM ignition system ensure everything communicates well. And details like an aftermarket cowl, Viper Red fuel rail covers, billet brace bars and billet hood supports ensure the engine looks every bit as good as it runs.
MODERN FOUNDATION
Take a look under this fully sorted panther and you'll find a professionally restored chassis that's clean, classy and ready to hit the road. Behind the smooth engine, a tough hydraulic clutch kicks a proven Tremec T56 6-speed, which spins a posi-traction differential around big, 4.11 gears and a 12-bolt, Moser-branded axle. Beneath that solid driveline, Detroit Speed mini tubs trail welded Detroit Speed subframe connectors, which trail a Detroit Speed Speed Kit 3 front-half. That front-half turns with the help of modern power assist. At the corners of the car, power-assisted Wilwood calipers clamp four drilled and slotted rotors. Charred dinosaurs float from the aforementioned headers to large-diameter, mandrel-bent pipes that employ an H-shaped crossover and aggressive DynoMax mufflers. Power meets the pavement through polished Budnik wheels, which spin 235/45ZR17 Nitto NT555 Extreme ZRs in front of 305/45R18 Nitto NT555R Extreme Drag Radials. And the car's fresh, Viper Red floors are finished with Viper Red wheel wells and a painted stainless fuel tank.
MODERN DIGS
Inside this cool Camaro you'll find a Deluxe White Houndstooth Interior that's one of the most stylish and functional cockpits to ever roll down GM's assembly lines. Aftermarket bucket seats wear modern, 3-point belts. In front of those seats, a traditional dash hangs a straight and crack-free pad above a Detroit Speed instrument panel, Auto Meter Pro-Comp Ultra-Lite telemetry and a modern CD player. Beneath that dash, fade-free carpet frames a short, color-keyed shifter, familiar Fisher sill plates, a billet accelerator pedal and custom kick panels that feature large speakers. At the sides of that carpet, bright door panels hang a combination of billet and chromed hardware around correct “Camaro” emblems. In front of the driver, a polished and half-wrapped Budnik steering wheel laps a standard, fixed column. And behind the passengers, a fully restored trunk hides a big Kicker speaker behind a reliable gel cell battery.
If you're in the market for a proven pavement bruiser that's a blast to show off and even MORE fun to drive, your search is officially over. This clean '69 Camaro mixes classic Chevy style with a ton of power and some of the best performance hardware on the planet. Why waste years of your valuable time financing a ground-up classic when you can walk into our showroom, throw down about half the money and experience instant gratification?
