FLEETWOOD METAL BODY

Clean and solid steel that took shape as Cadillac's epic Series 75 back in 1937, this alluring classic benefitted from a professional, frame-off restoration that included close to 3,000 hours of labor. That detailed build, which began with a full strip of the car's epicurean metal, eventually culminated in rich BMW Atlantic Blue two-stage. And today, this classic pretty much sets the standard everywhere it goes!

When it came to safety, Fisher Body's all-steel Turret Top was kind of a big deal. That's because, in the era of classics like this stately Caddy, exterior panels were much more structural than those featured on today's cars. Short history lesson aside, it's hard to argue the significance the Turret Top lends to this Fleetwood's grandiose shape. That roof cages a tinted greenhouse, which splits a stainless-trimmed windscreen behind polished wipers. Beneath those blades, a long hood points a correct Cadillac Goddess, complete with correct glass, between fully polished headlights that have been upfitted with small turn indicators. Beneath those lamps, a blue-tinged bumper guards Cadillac driving lights, a Cadillac-branded grille and Cadillac-branded Pontoon Fenders. Those fenders lead a stainless-trimmed profile that, built around requisite Coach Doors, is finished with polished handles, elegant running boards and fully dressed spares that spike polished mirrors. And those mirrors reflect awesome Art Deco taillights that, along with a flush Center High Mount Stop Lamp, illuminate a polished fuel cap, an elegant “V8” emblem and a second blue-tinged bumper

GM POWERTRAIN

Power-assisted discs and drums provides quick, drama-free stops. Charred dinosaurs float from the aforementioned headers into 2.5-inch, true-dual pipes, which center an H-shaped crossover in front of deep turbo mufflers. And torque meets the pavement through 16-inch Wheel Vintiques wires, which spin Toyo Open Country whitewalls.

THE CADILLAC OF RIDES

Open this sedan's doors and you'll find $27K worth of custom enhancements that were carefully planned and professionally installed. The driver and passengers rest on of plush leather that's stretched across a modified Mercury front bench and an original Cadillac rear bench. Those thrones, separated by power-operated privacy glass, face a handsome Walnut Burl dash, which caps Vintage Air climate control with classy VDO telemetry. That air conditioning, like the car's high-fidelity audio, features separate modes and controls for the car's rear passengers. Speaking of modern audio, multiple speakers and a big subwoofer get 12-volt bumps thanks to MP3-compatible Pioneer head units. Tasteful side panels hang billet handles in front of a full suite of power windows and power door locks. Plush carpet hides thick sound insulation. A custom headliner incorporates rear privacy shades. The driver spins an ornate steering wheel around a tilting GM column. And the passengers stow essentials in a custom-upholstered trunk.

Many collector cars claim to be the total package, but this exceptional Caddy actually backs that talk up.
