881 Actual Mile Roush Stage 3 5.0L Supercharged 6 Speed
It seems that almost everywhere you see a Ford Racing logo you also see some variation of the name Jack Roush. A true man's man who likes fast cars, fast planes, and sometimes mixing the two, “The Cat in the Hat” has turned tweaking Ford's best high performance hardware into a form of modern art. And that's the main reason his namesake company, Roush Performance of Livonia, Michigan, virtually OWNS the Ford tuner market. If you want a specialty piece that actually has the performance to match its aesthetics, all you have to do is look for a square fender badge that's comprised of a red and black “R”. And this 2013 Stage 3 is a factory-fresh warhorse that's functionally cooler thanks to an R6 aerobody kit, significantly quicker thanks to a 565 horsepower ROUSHcharged V8, and more athletic thanks to a fresh, track-tuned suspension. In fact, not only is this top notch Mustang fun, dependable and scary quick, it'll also hold its own next to the finest vintage metal your local cruise in has to offer. If you're looking for the perfect combination of classic show, OEM quality and major go, this showroom fresh Ford is the deal of the year!

The fifth generation Mustang is heralded as some of the best looking metal produced in decades. With its bulging fenders and crisp lines, the car's design not only plays well into the current trend of nostalgic goodwill, but also appeals to just about anyone with a pulse. And this low-mileage Roush Stage 3 takes those crowd-pleasing traits and wraps them in two things Mustangs arguably wear best – bright paint and aggressive stripes. In looking over this Ford's pristine body, it becomes obvious that the car's one owner barely enjoyed any seat time at all. Its factory paintwork is super glossy and devoid of any problem areas. That clean basecoat is accented by wrinkle-free graphics which hearken back to ponies of yore. And, as a practically brand new coupe that sports a clean CarFax report, panel fitment and overall finish is still assembly line perfect!
Combining sculpted, muscular sheetmetal and well-planned appearance upgrades with a buttoned down stance and clean, modern detailing, this awesome Roush creation takes Ford designer J. Mays' theme of 'retro-futurism' and literally brings it to life. At the front of the car, a Roush high flow grille hangs an off-set “3” emblem between trick HID headlights. Below that grille, a custom Roush front valence complements aero driving lamps with a high flow cooling duct and an aggressive chin spoiler. Behind that valence, traditional Roush Performance emblems, “RS3” branded decals and rear side splitters perfectly contrast optional Roush quarter window louvers. Above those emblems, a factory Mustang GT hood anchors an optional Roush scoop between ghosted “ROUSHCHARGED” scripts, body-matched mirrors and a silver “ROUSH” windshield banner. And at the back of the car, a Roush-designed tail panel hangs sequential LED tail lamps between a three-piece Roush spoiler, a Roush-designed valence and large stainless exhaust tips.
Created as a turnkey package for enthusiasts who want a reliably engineered Mustang that unlocks the full potential of Ford's newly minted Coyote motor, the Roush Stage 3 utilizes an intercooled R2300 supercharger to crank out a stout 565 horsepower and a stellar 505 lb./ft. of torque. Roush's patented ROUSHcharger is an Eaton-produced blower that exhales through a relocated and redesigned single core cross-flow intercooler which helps manage on-track temperatures and create gobs of torque-rich power. In front of that blower, a familiar Roush air induction system provides a cleaner appearance and better efficiency. At the sides of that blower, optional Roush coil covers combine with optional Roush hood struts to dress things up a bit. And below that blower, a familiar Roush intake manifold complements molded, Roush-exclusive hoses. Ford's newest V8 is a very strong engine as is, but the experts at Roush went ahead and installed a beefier cooling system and a recalibrated ECM in case this Mustang's new owner wanted to spend ample time at the track. As with all Roush products, the car's radiator support proudly displays a Roush Performance badge which lists the engine's power output and verifies its authenticity. And on the car's passenger's side inner fender, you'll find a satin metal plate with the signature of the technician who bolted the engine together. Aesthetically, the spotless mill features a typical OEM-level appearance that displays hardly any signs of usage at all. And when you twist its key, you become the lead composer of a veritable orchestra of sinister whines and octane-fueled roars!
Straight from Dearborn the D2C Mustang platform is a very capable foundation; and with a few upgrades from Roush Performance, it becomes a true force to be reckoned with! Behind the engine, a factory 6-speed drives a rugged Ford 8.8 inch rear end that's optioned with road course appropriate 3.73 gears. That stout drivetrain powers a tuned front strut and three link rear suspension that's fitted with a larger front stabilizer bar, uniquely valved shocks, increased-rate springs, better bushings and a Roush anti-wheel hop kit . Braking is handled by factory equipped front and rear discs that are aided by both Ford's standard anti-lock system and recalibrated AdvanceTrac traction control. The car's killer engine note is provided by an optional Roush exhaust system which is a 'no brainer' dealer-installed option. At the corners of the floor, fantastic Roush wheels spin super sticky 275/35ZR20 Cooper Zeon RS3s that were specifically developed for the Stage 3 package. And overall, the bottom of this wicked Ford, which is super clean and shows no signs of abuse, appears to have spent 80% of its life tucked away in a dry garage and 20% of its life serving as a pampered weekend cruiser.
Peek through the car's original windows and a stylish, driver-friendly interior stares back. Highly bolstered Recaro sport seats, which are dangerously close to what you might find in a pure-bred track warrior, fit snug as a glove. In front of those seats, an optional suede-wrapped steering wheel spins around a chrome-trimmed instrument panel that's augmented by a Roush boost gauge. The dash framing that instrument panel is some of Ford's best modern work, featuring a heritage inspired dual cowl design, appropriately matted trim and a subtle “Jack Roush USA” script. At the center of that dash, a factory Ford sound system hangs a CD changer, Sirius satellite radio capability and MP3 compatibility above knobs for factory climate control, a cool “Stage 3” emblem and a black Roush shift ball. At the sides of that dash, fade-free door panels feature large speakers and controls for the car's power windows, power door locks and power mirrors. At the bottom of those door panels, like-new carpet props color-keyed mats below billet Roush foot pedals. In the car's surprisingly spacious trunk you'll find a brand new set of Roush floor mats that are still wrapped in plastic. And naturally, everything in this factory fresh cockpit works exactly as it should.
The sale of this virtually new pony car includes the original Ford and Roush window stickers outlined above, the clean CarFax report mentioned above, the car's original Ford owner's manual, the car's original Roush owner's manual, a few pieces of factory paperwork, a printed summary of the Roush Stage 3 package, and a second key.
Even without its rarity factor, this glowing green Mustang will satisfy ANY performance enthusiast! With plenty of power across the board and nearly universal appeal, it's hard to think of a more desirable American car; especially in this price range. Add in the Roush name, limited production and low mileage, and this thoroughbred starts looking like a great investment. Want to own a showroom fresh copy of one of the coolest Mustangs ever assembled? Then you gotta have this 2013 Roush Stage 3!
