1,431 Actual Mile Blackjack Roushcharged 4.6L 5 Speed
Like most gearheads, Jack Roush enjoys engines of any kind and speed at any level. Nobody knows more about getting a Ford around a racetrack quickly than this guy. And for years some of the blue oval's nastiest, most powerful and most spectacular hardware has come out of Roush Performance in Livonia Michigan. Being an avid pilot, a hardcore business man and one of NASCAR's biggest magnates, Jack leaves most of his design work to carefully groomed talent. But, in 2006, he decided to create an intimidating offering that stayed 100% true to his idea of the perfect Mustang. One of only 100 produced, this 2007 BlackJack is the ultimate embodiment of classic American style and decades of racing knowledge. If you're looking for a unique pony car that's virtually guaranteed to grow into an elite, investment grade muscle car, step right up to the front of the Roush legacy!
As you can tell from our high resolution photography, BlackJack number 59 is a pristine garage queen that's been in the care of very meticulous owners since new. 100% straight, with no history of accidents or damage of any kind, the car's fuselage reveals not so much as a dent or ding anywhere. High quality paint and bodywork from Roush Performance blends perfectly with tight and glossy panels from Ford's Flat Rock assembly plant. And overall, this pony conveys a premium sense of collectability that, when combined with its spectacular performance, creates a timeless modern classic.
Featuring sculpted, muscular sheetmetal, well-planned appearance upgrades and a buttoned down stance, this awesome Roush creation takes Ford designer J. Mays' theme of 'retro-futurism' and literally brings it to life. At the front of the car, a stylish Ford grille hangs a familiar galloping horse between black-bucket head lights, factory driving lamps and a custom Roush valence. Above that grille, a factory Mustang GT hood centers a prominent “ROUSHCHARGED” scoop on a 21-inch, BlackJack-exclusive stripe. Behind that hood, smoked glass stretches a black “ROUSH” banner between matte rear view mirrors and glossy Roush quarter window covers. Below that glass, bright Roush emblems are perfectly aligned with aggressive Roush rockers. And at the back of the car, a striped valence centers pristine tail lights and a “STAGE 3” fuel filler emblem between a sculpted decklid spoiler, a “ROUSH” branded bumper and big, stainless exhaust tips.
Created as a turnkey package for enthusiasts who want a reliably engineered Mustang that unlocks the full potential of Ford's legendary mod motor, the BlackJack utilizes a chrome, roots-style supercharger to crank out 430 horsepower and an even 400 lb./ft. of gravel-throwing torque. Roush's patented ROUSHcharger is an Eaton-produced blower that exhales through a relocated and redesigned single-core cross-flow intercooler, which helps manage on-track temperatures and create gobs of torque-rich power. In front of that blower, a familiar Roush induction system provides both a cleaner appearance and better efficiency. At the sides of that blower, small aluminum plaques display the car's authenticity. Below that blower, a high performance Roush intake complements molded, still pliable hoses. And, even though Ford's go-to V8 is a very strong engine as is, the experts in Livonia went ahead and installed a beefier cooling system and recalibrated ECM just in case this Mustang's owner wanted to spend ample time at the track. Aesthetically, the spotless mill features a typical OEM-level appearance that's set off by an array of billet accents. And when you twist its key, you become the lead composer of a veritable orchestra of sinister whines and octane-fueled roars!
Straight from Dearborn the D2C Mustang platform is a very capable foundation; and with a few upgrades from Roush, it becomes a true force to be reckoned with! Behind the engine, a proven Tremec 5-speed drives a rugged Ford 8.8-inch rear end that's equipped with modest 3.31 gears. That stout drivetrain powers a tuned front strut and 3-link rear suspension that's fitted with large sway bars, uniquely valved shocks, better struts and increased-rate springs. Braking is handled by a cool conglomeration of Roush binders, factory discs, standard anti-lock software and AdvanceTrac traction control. The car's killer engine note is provided by a throaty Roush cat-back that terminates with big stainless tips. At the corners of the floors, fantastic Roush wheels spin super sticky 275/40ZR18 BF Goodrich g-Force T/As around mandatory locking lug nuts. And, judging by the cleanliness of those floors, this wicked Ford has probably spent 90% of its life tucked safely away in a dry garage.
Unlike most tuners, Roush adds attractive interior upgrades to all their vehicles. Steal one glance inside this barely touched pony car and you'll find a top-of-the-line cockpit that retains a hallowed appearance. The seats are supple leather buckets which frame bold “BlackJack” logos in light stitching. Inside the dash, attractive carbon fiber trims an OEM-quality, Roush Stage 3 electro luminescent instrument panel. At the center of the car, a Roush short throw shifter looks perfect between a carbon fiber-traced console and powerful Shaker audio system. At the floor, CNC'ed Roush foot pedals hang over like-new carpet, which is protected by satin Roush sills and “BlackJack” branded floor mats. In front of the driver, a silver-spoked steering wheel retains all its factory functionality. Behind the cockpit, a factory-correct trunk opens wide to reveal a reasonable amount of luggage space. And naturally, all the amenities and convenience features you've come to expect in a modern classic are present and accounted for including: climate control, cruise control and full power accessories.
The name Jack Roush is legendary at race tracks around the world, and when his name is on a line of performance Mustangs, you know they're something special. This low mileage, one owner BlackJack is a superb car with out-of-the-box abilities that allow it to embarrass any number of vehicles. If you're looking for a future collector piece that's interesting, fun, easy to live with and scary fast, you've found your next investment!
