Frame Off Restored Mustang Coupe 302 V8 C6 3 Speed
When it comes to universal appeal, few cars bring it quite like Ford's Mustang. While a lot of its competitors placed an emphasis on speed, style or some other singular piece of the puzzle, the Mustang did its best to be everything to everyone while providing a solid foundation to build upon. This fully sorted cruiser combines a fiery Ford small block with enough visceral appeal to convert fans anytime, anywhere. And with that seldom scene Aqua and white color combination, it's no wonder the car sold before it even hit our showroom!
Wearing a glossy coat of clean, two-stage paint, this pony's current condition is the product of a thorough restoration that's stood the test of time. The car's straight sheetmetal was stripped, sanded and bathed in a modern urethane pigment. And that smooth finish was, after being buffed to a mirror-like shine, trimmed in bright white C-stripes.
Motivation is provided by an original Ford small block that mixes cool sounds with great power. That reliable mill was covered in traditional blue skin and centered between crisp, Satin Black fenders. And everything, from the car's Ford Racing air cleaner to its dent-free oil pan, looks good and functions great.
Behind that pan, a rugged 3-speed automatic twists power through a tough, 8-inch rear end. That fully sorted drivetrain hangs in a fully restored suspension, which benefits from factory power steering and power drum brakes. And at the corners of the car, American Racing Torq Thrust IIs spin pliable Sumic radials around polished spokes and chrome lug nuts.
Open this coupe's doors and you'll find nostalgic Detroit styling that's wrapped in cool Aqua vinyl. Restored bench and bucket seats sport freshly pleated covers that look good and feel great. The vintage aura continues onto the dashboard, which backs traditional roundels with a nice combination of black and Aqua paint. And in front of the driver, a correct steering wheel spins a classy horn ring around beefy spokes and a familiar pony insignia.
There's only one problem with this awesome Mustang: if you're thinking about buying it, you've arrived a bit late to the party. With its tasteful styling, rare Aqua color scheme and fully sorted small block, the car's appeal was just too strong to resist. We'd like to thank its happy new owner for choosing RK Motors Charlotte for all his octane-fueled needs. Here's to many trophies, many years and many more miles behind the wheel of classic American muscle!
