Logging very few miles since a complete, ground-up reboot, this striking coupe is a decidedly clean cruiser. And overall, this Chevy's tidy engine compartment is exceptionally well-done; framing a modern alternator, fresh brake booster and correct GM hoses in bright decals and clean, Satin Black fenders.

Not surprisingly, the bottom of this pavement-pounding Vette is solid, clean and ready to roll. Behind the awesome big block, a tough Muncie 4-speed spins a stout posi-traction differential around beefy 3.70 gears. Turns come courtesy of modern power steering. A full assortment of disc brakes provides solid, confident stops. Impressive, true-dual exhaust funnels spent gases through correctly chambered side pipes. The car's solid, Satin Black floors perfectly complement a straight, Satin Black chassis.
