Frame Off Built 210 468 Dual Quad V8 TH400 3 Speed 3.73 Posi Vintage A/C
When your goal is to own a world-class custom, there can't be any asterisks on the spec sheet. That's why the restorer of this striking Chevy started his build with a highly desirable tri-five. Popular from day one, this coveted sedan is the beneficiary of a high dollar restoration that transformed it from a solid survivor into a fully detailed showstopper. Today, the car sits as an attention-grabbing pavement pounder that's ready to hit the road and dominate the show field!
Wearing a smooth coat of yellow 2-stage, this 210's current condition is the product of a professional, frame-off restoration that was completed in late 2012. The car's straight sheetmetal was stripped, sanded and bathed in vivid pigment. And, after being buffed to a mirror-like shine, that first class finish was trimmed in fresh chrome and polished stainless.
Motivation is provided by 468 cubic inches of dual-quad V8, which is fully dressed in polished ancillaries. That raucous mill rides between crisp, body-matched fenders. And everything, from the car's chrome valve covers to its Flat Black oil pan, looks good and functions great.
Behind that pan, a proven Turbo-Hydramatic 400 3-speed twists power to big 3.73 gears. That first class drivetrain hangs in a custom suspension, which benefits from rack-and-pinion steering and modern front disc and rear drum brakes. And at the corners of the car, chrome Foose wheels spin 215/45ZR18 Falken Azenis radials in front of 295/40R20 Falken Azenis radials.
Open this sedan's doors and you'll find nostalgic Detroit styling that's wrapped in custom leather trim. Firm bench and bucket seats sport pliable covers that, judging by their appearance, have enjoyed very little road time. The vintage aura continues onto the dashboard, which offers a pleasant layout of analog gauges. And in front of the driver, a polished steering wheel spins a half-wrapped rim around a polished, tilting column.
It's hard to imagine the automotive world without the Chevy Bel Air. For over 50 years, the hobby's most recognizable classic has been admired by enthusiasts and purists alike. With its strong drivetrain, capable chassis and nearly universal appeal, this razor-sharp bowtie is an excellent mix of old school fun and show-stopping looks. We'd like to thank the car's happy new owner for choosing RK Motors Charlotte for all his octane-fueled needs. Here's to many trophies, many years and many more miles behind the wheel of classic American cruisers!
