----------

When it comes to being a street rod enthusiast, there's no time like the present. Anyone with a pile of catalogs and a nice savings account can build a head-turning custom that looks and performs better than OEM. And while universal access to top-notch componentry is leveling the show car playing field, it's also making it difficult to create something that's truly unique and memorable. As a result, visionary builders are constantly upping the ante in terms of quality and creativity. And the very best rods have become the cars that are well planned, feature a unifying design and employ excellent construction techniques. This 1934 Dodge Brothers coupe is a professionally built custom that mixes years of careful planning with a comprehensive, frame-off restoration and unique, exceptionally cohesive aesthetics. If you're an anxious street rod buyer who's tired of sorting through an endless blur of simply 'good' cars, this classy MoPar is the 'best' you've been waiting for!

BODYWORK/TRIM

The hot coupe's solid steel body began life as a run-of-the-mill commuter that was maintained, driven and paraded for most of its existence. During a detailed, frame-off restoration, that old school metal was stripped, sanded and layered in vivid red 2-stage. That 2-stage was complemented with a gloss black grille, a polished grille shell, smoked glass, a billet fuel cap and modern LED tail lamps. And everything was finished in tasteful factory trim, which includes chrome bumpers, chrome tri-beam headlights, chrome handles and small chrome mirrors.

ENGINE

Take a look under this Dodge's winged hood and you'll find a hot GM Performance Parts ZZ4 350 that utilizes a forged crank, powdered rods, a hydraulic cam and hypereutectic pistons to turn stout 10 to 1 compression into 355 horsepower and 405 lb./ft. of torque. At the top of the smooth-spinning mill, a proven Holley carburetor is sequenced between a B&M filter, braided linkage sleeving and polished stainless fluid lines. That fuel source feeds a dual-plane aluminum intake and L98 Corvette heads, which are dressed in Charcoal Gray valve covers. At the back of that intake, a Delco-Remy distributor shoots fire through loomed plug wires. At the front of those wires, billet pulleys spin a polished alternator, coated water pump and coated AC compressor behind a high quality Walker radiator. And exhaust makes haste through ceramic-coated Sanderson block hugger headers.

DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION

Toss this coupe on a lift and you'll find solid floorpans that frame modern aftermarket components with a subdued coat of Satin Black paint. Behind the smooth-revving small block, a GM Turbo-Hydramatic 350 3-speed twists power to a road-ready axle that's fitted with cruise-friendly gears. Beneath that drivetrain, a completely rebuilt suspension employs traditional leaf springs behind a double A-arm front clip that's fitted with manual rack-and-pinion steering. 4-wheel power disc brakes provide quick, drama-free stops. Charred dinosaurs float from the aforementioned headers in to a 2.5-inch exhaust system, which positions deep Imco turbo mufflers in front of polished tips. And torque transitions to pavement via chrome Wheel Vintiques wires, which spin 205/70R15 Michelin XW4s in front of 235/75R15 Michelin XW4s.

INTERIOR

Like most top tier street rods, this Dodge is equipped with a completely custom interior. That clean gray cockpit is trimmed in tough floor mats, stainless foot pedals, small visors, color-keyed paint and wood-framed Classic Instruments telemetry. Firm bucket seats, which are flanked by modern belts, feature power adjustment for the driver. A tilting windshield and cool air conditioning afford the ability to cruise in almost any season. A satellite-capable Sony Xplod head unit controls a Sony 10-disc CD changer. In front of the passengers, a polished Lecarra steering wheel spins color-keyed leather around a painted, tilting column. And out back, a carpeted and upholstered trunk maintains a large amount of storage space.

OUR SALE INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING ACCESSORIES:
