BODYWORK/TRIM

With mere break-in miles on its bright digital odometer, this showroom-fresh Chevy is an as-new garage queen that's assembly line perfect in virtually every way. A slick coat of Kinetic Blue Metallic 2-stage, accented by matte blackout graphics and 'Dragon's flame' fender art, gives the car just enough edge to mix innocent, toy-like whim with ample on-road attitude. A roster of special bolt-ons, including aggressive ground effects, a red-laced ZL-1 grille, black valance trim and a full accoutrement of Hot Wheels emblems, adds just the right amount of detail. And an optional Rally Sport appearance package intensifies those aesthetics with large halos and smoked tail lamps. ENGINE

Ever hear the old saying “The greater the risk, the greater the reward”? Well, in a round about way, that logic can be loosely applied to toys. The Hot Wheels package was offered on anything from Chevy's V6 Camaro LT all the way to its V8 Camaro SS. And we all know that, while the V6 car is probably fun in a toy zeppelin kind of way, GM's LS3 V8 is the real McCoy, the cat's meow; the Red Rider BB gun that Ralphie so lusted for in A Christmas Story. Twisting 430 horsepower into roughly 424 lb./ft. of tire torching torque, the lightweight mill rumbling beneath this car's hood is a technological testament to the incredible significance of Chevrolet's storied cam-in-block engine design! GM Powertrain invested a great deal of time and research into getting the most out of its Gen IV small block, and it definitely shows. Changes started with a 20% stronger casting, featuring an increased bore of 103.25mm. Focus was then shifted to flow efficiency, resulting in the use of rectangle-port heads and an all-new intake manifold. Factor in a new piston design, and injectors borrowed from the brutal LS7, and you get a very potent street car that happily doubles as an everyday commuter. That said; road prowess simply isn't enough for a car like this – it has to LOOK good too. A color-keyed engine cowl perfectly complements a black air tube and black fuse cover. And overall, everything appears just as it should in a well-maintained, low-mileage garage queen.

DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION

Take a look under this Zeta-based Chevy and you'll find a slick-shifting Tremec TR6060 6-speed that's suspended in a proven, road-ready chassis. Found in everything from the Dodge Viper to Saleen Mustangs, that T56-derived gearbox utilizes larger gears to deliver better durability and improved torque capacity. That torque flows to a limited-slip rear end that's fitted with beefy 3.45 gears. That drivetrain plays well with a Nurburgring-tested suspension, which benefits from GM's Performance Traction Management. Variable-ratio power steering, big Brembo calipers and giant, vented rotors combine with factory ABS and electronic brake distribution to ensure this is the best handling street-focused Camaro to date. GM's Stabilitrak traction and stability control system works with a 6-speed Camaro SS-exclusive launch control system to keep the power safe and manageable. And the car's “CHEVROLET” branded calipers are fronted by 21-inch Hot Wheels-exclusive wheels, which spin 245/40 Pirelli P Zeros in front of 275/35 Pirelli P Zeros.

INTERIOR

Inside this pristine Camaro you'll find a Hot Wheels-themed interior that displays virtually no wear at all. The car's French-stitched, “HOT WHEELS” branded seats are supple, supportive and near perfect in every way. The French-stitched dash, which features the same gloss black accents as the car's French-stitched door panels, hangs traditional, black-trimmed gauges around a standard Driver Information Center. At the center of that dash, controls for a Boston Acoustics 9-speaker sound system ride above factory 4-pack accessory gauges and a short, leather-wrapped shifter. Below those gauges, like-new carpet is protected by color-keyed floor mats and cool Hot Wheels sill plates. Opposite that carpet, a self-dimming mirror features GM's award-winning OnStar service.
