If you're a fan of televised collector car auctions, you've probably seen tributes like this awesome Yenko Camaro cross the block for rock-solid prices. That's because, in a market where investment grade cars and hobby cars are becoming increasingly polar, these high quality recreations are the best way to get the thrill of owning an otherwise unobtainable piece of automotive history. This top notch Yenko tribute is a complete, road ready big block car which features a date-correct 427, correct Midnight Green vinyl and custom Emerald Green paint. If you're one of those buyers who values absolute authenticity, we can certainly accommodate you. But if you're one of the growing number of enthusiasts who wants to actually enjoy the performance, look, and value of the storied Yenko name, your Super Car awaits!
One can't help but smile when they look at a Camaro this cool. Assembled in Norwood, Ohio, it's everything car guys dream of from the first time they say “muscle car” to the day they trade their high octane V8 for an electric rascal motor. Decked in custom Emerald Green 2-stage, and displaying a traditional array of Yenko Super Car stripes, this Chevy is the product of a detailed, ground-up restoration that was completed in 2012. Its profile is a carefully orchestrated combination of excellent panel gaps, doors that close better than new, and a flat finish that stretches from tip to tail. And presently, a mere 160 miles out of the paint booth, this Chevy is one high quality head turner which sets the standard for any pony car that dare show its face at the same cruise night.
The overall look of this F1 is beyond factory fresh. And thanks to an astute attention to detail, the car has the kind of killer eyeball appeal that makes casual by-standers stop and take notice. At the front of its body, a stainless-trimmed grille hangs traditional halogen headlights above a showroom-fresh bumper, clear parking lamps and an optional D80 chin spoiler. At the top of that grille, a familiar cowl induction hood shines bright “427” emblems in front of like-new glass that's cleared by polished wipers, topped with fresh drip rails and framed in straight stainless trim. At the sides of that hood, sculpted fenders hang “Camaro” and “YENKO” scripts above standard rocker trim that perfectly complements a correct mirror, traditional door handles, optional door guards and optional fender louvers. And at the back of the car, a “YENKO 427” branded valance aligns segmented taillights between polished exhaust tips, an optional D80 deck spoiler and a second showroom-fresh bumper.
While the exterior of the famed Yenko Camaros is a story all its own, what really made these cars special is what lived between their fenders. Lift this Chevy's glossy hood and you'll find a date-correct 427 that's been restored to a highly detailed, show worthy appearance. At the top of the hot block, oxygen flows from a polished and decaled air cleaner in to a Holley 4-barrel carburetor and date-correct Winters intake. At the sides of that intake, stamped and chromed valve covers hang multi-color Yenko decals above date-correct Winters rectangle-port heads. At the back of those covers, a rebuilt points distributor sends fire through familiar Packard TV R Suppression cables, which snake around date-correct exhaust manifolds. Opposite that distributor, traditional V-belts spin a date-correct crank pulley and date-correct water pump pulley behind a date-correct fan blade. Cooling is provided by a 4-core heavy duty radiator, which funnels water through reproduction GM hoses and fresh tower clamps. And since most '69 Camaros came factory-equipped with power disc brakes, an appropriate Delco Moraine booster is present and accounted for. Aesthetically, the Satin Black engine compartment is impressively clean and, for the most part, looks straight out of Don Yenko's Pennsylvania showroom. And bright Chevy Orange block skin is just the finishing touch to make you want to pop the lid as soon as you park the car.
While you could order a Yenko with a slushbox, the vast majority were equipped with 'row as you go' 4-speeds. And this particular tribute utilizes a date-correct Muncie, equipped with an 11-inch, date-correct bellhousing, to spin a date-correct rear end around 3.55 gears and a posi-traction differential. That drivetrain rides in a restored double A-arm front and solid axle rear suspension, which features factory power steering, and power front disc and rear drum brakes. A thrill-inducing soundtrack fills big pipes, an H-shaped crossover and a welded, dual-chamber muffler. At the corners of the chassis, American Racing Torq Thrust Ds spin 215/70R15 BF Goodrich Radial T/As in front of 225/70R15 BF Goodrich Radial T/As. And overall, this Chevy's fully restored chassis is completely sorted and ready to hit the road.
Inside this pristine tribute, it's 100% Camaro, and that's always a good thing! Correct Midnight Green upholstery features a simple, driver-oriented feel that just can't be matched by today's technology-laden cockpits. And bold “YSC” headrest decals provide just the right amount of detail to elevate an already impressive appearance to a whole new level. In front of the driver, a good looking dash hangs beautifully restored telemetry above small accessory gauges, a correct Delco radio and a Sunpro Super Tach II. Below that dash, a wood-trimmed console traces a chrome-capped Hurst shifter. Below that console, fade-free carpet is protected by color-keyed, Chevrolet-branded mats and traditional Fisher sills. At the sides of that carpet, Standard door panels are decorated with excellent looking stainless and correct "Camaro" emblems. Above those panels, a tight headliner, which retains all of its color, centers a chrome-trimmed dome lamp between fade-free shoulder belts. The driver stays connected through a traditional rosewood steering wheel. And passengers store essentials in a fully restored and correctly equipped trunk.
If a Super Sport is just too ordinary, and you really dig the magical appeal of that storied 4, 2, and 7 number combination, this high quality Yenko is just what you need. Restoring a Camaro to the show worthy level of this classic will cost a lot more than our asking price. And even if you started today, it would be at least a year before your project began to resemble a finished car. So go ahead: call your friends at RK Motors Charlotte and let this awesome Super Car show you exactly what instant gratification is all about!

What Customers Are Saying
After hearing good things about the people at RK Motors, I contacted them regarding consignment of my street rod. I found Tony Klein to be a pleasure to work with. He was very professional and forthcoming in our communications. He evaluated my vehicle and made suggestions of enhancements which would help ensure the desired result would be achieved in the marketing of the vehicle. We agreed on an acceptable sale price. Following the completion of the recommended items, I brought the vehicle to RK for consignment. After a thorough inspection and correction of some minor issues at what I considered a fair price, the vehicle was offered for sale. It sold quickly with me receiving the agreed value. I would have to repeat the recommendation that I received. RK Motors does what they say they will do, and obtains for the seller a fair and agreed value. What more could you ask for?Doug C.
