----------

When the words “Camaro” and “resto-mod” meet, a good time is pretty much guaranteed. Throw in a little over 500 horsepower and buttery black-on-black aesthetics, and you end up with a tire-melting, conversation-starting muscle car that everyone will stop to look at. This sweet Rally Sport is a complete, road ready cruiser that features a choice LS376/515 V8, a stout Tremec 5-speed and a quality rotisserie restoration that's been fully sorted over three years of easy living. If you're a buyer who seeks absolute authenticity, we can certainly accommodate you. But, if you're one of the growing number of enthusiasts who wants to actually enjoy the performance, look, and value of Chevrolet's beloved pony car, this '67 panther is your opportunity to turn someone else's toil into your new pastime!

BODYWORK/TRIM

The beneficiary of a detailed rotisserie restoration that was completed in May of 2013, this sinister F1 wears a clean and solid body that's been stripped bare, supplemented with a new trunk floor and married to fresh quarters. That slick profile looks great dressed in wet-looking PPG 2-stage, which reflects rich black pigment under metallic charcoal Rally Stripes. And, despite its custom drivetrain, the car's trim and ornamentation remain a stylish mix of familiar Chevrolet attributes. Up front, a stainless-trimmed Rally Sport grille hangs electric headlights and a bright “SS” emblem over a small chin spoiler and clear Rally Sport parking lamps. Behind that grille, a shaved header leads the eye to an NOS cowl induction hood, which rides in front of Detroit Speed Selecta Speed wipers. Behind those blades, re-chromed, '67-exclusive vent windows highlight fresh, lightly tinted glass. At the sides of that glass, factory doors found flush-fit handles and polished bowtie mirrors between filled marker lamps, charcoal “SS” call-outs and seamless fender extensions. And at the back of the car, a seamless roll pan centers Rally Sport reverse lamps under a D80 deck spoiler, sequential LED taillights and a familiar Super Sport fuel cap.

ENGINE

Gaze upon this Chevy's monochromatic engine bay and you'll find 6.2 liters of small block fury! Officially known as the Chevrolet Performance LS376/515, that $9,107 crate engine twists respectable 10.7 to 1 compression into 533 horsepower and 477 lb./ft. of torque. At the top of the block, a K&N X-Stream air cleaner funnels wind in to a proven MSD Atomic throttle body, which feeds a lightweight GM intake. That air meets spark in rectangular-port L92-style heads, which hide high-rate springs under GM-spec valve covers. A nodular crank, powdered connecting rods and hypereutectic pistons compress that volatile union. A racing-inspired ASA cam maximizes intake efficiency through better breathing. Speaking of breathing, the smooth mill funnels spent gases through GM-spec exhaust manifolds. There's a large aluminum radiator that's slid between a polished expansion tank and spry pusher fan. Billet serpentine components spin a rebuilt alternator beside a GM water pump. Quality American Autowire wiring combines with polished breathers, fresh AC Delco plug wires and a GM Performance Parts LSX ignition module to detail otherwise purpose-built performance. And, as you likely deduced from our high resolution photos, the all-aluminum mill has been relocated roughly two inches to enhance the car's weight distribution.

DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION

Take a look under this tire shredding pony car and you'll find a carefully updated chassis that's ready for the strip or the street. Behind the smooth engine, a trusted Tremec 5-speed utilizes a Kevlar hydraulic clutch to spin a tough 12-bolt axle that's finished with a posi-traction differential and big, 3.73 gears. Under that pumpkin, a Ridetech 4-link seats adjustable coil-over-shocks opposite Detroit Speed mini tubs. That 4-link pushes tubular Ridetech control arms, which balance manual rack-and-pinion steering between two more coil-over-shocks. At the corners of that suspension, traditional discs and drums provide solid stops thanks to stainless fluid lines and a familiar Wilwood master cylinder. Charred dinosaurs float from the aforementioned manifolds to 3-inch, Mandrel-bent pipes, which position an X-shaped crossover in front of aggressive Flowmaster mufflers. Power meets the pavement through color-keyed Billet Specialties Street Lites, which spin 215/55R17 Doral SDL-As in front of 315/35ZR17 Nitto NT555 Extreme ZRs. And the car's fresh, Satin Black floors, partially replaced during its restoration, frame niceties like Detroit Speed subframe connectors, a TA Performance differential cover and polyurethane Detroit Speed bushings.

INTERIOR

Open this Chevy's tight-fitting doors and you'll find a highly customized interior that wraps 21st century style in a nice blend of comfort and convenience. Firm SCAT Procar buckets complement a factory bench. In front of those bolstered thrones, a body-matched dash hangs a remote-controlled Pioneer CD player between Dakota Digital VHX telemetry and a third charcoal “SS” call-out. At the base of that dash, a factory console frames a chrome-capped billet shifter. Beneath that island, “SS” branded floor mats protect fade-free carpet, which rests on quality Dynamat insulation. At the edges of that matting, pick-free door panels bridge the gap between big kick speakers and glossy, color-keyed window frames. In front of the driver, a Billet Specialties Street Lite steering wheel spins a carbon fiber-textured rim. And behind the passengers, the car's restored trunk seats a billet-topped Optima battery beneath crisp Rockford Fosgate deck speakers.

If a run-of-the-mill Chevelle or Nova simply won't do, this high-quality resto-mod is your perfect solution! Restoring any classic to the condition of this Camaro will probably cost much more than our asking price and, even if you started today, it would probably be a year before that project began resembling a finished car. So, why not give in to temptation and let this sinister Rally Sport show you exactly what instant gratification is all about!
