During that detailed, frame-off reboot, original sheetmetal was stripped bare and coated in rich black paint that's a unique combination of base and clear. And today, that blemish-free pigment manifests a lust worthy representation of America's most glorious era of motoring. At the front of the car, a polished grille centers a colorful emblem between a guarded bumper, stainless-trimmed headlights and classy header lettering. Behind that branding, a steel hood centers a windswept topper in front of tinted glass that anchors polished frames behind polished wipers and polished mirrors. At the sides of that glass, Buick-branded fender toppers kick off a profile of streamlined trim that's fashioned around factory door handles and ornate lock cylinders. ENGINE

Tilt the hood and you'll find 283 cubic inches of Chevrolet small block that, according to its casting number, originated in the mid-1960s. Revs are created when a polished and milled air cleaner floats air in to an electronically choked 4-barrel, which feeds a clean intake. At the perimeter of that intake, cast iron heads seat polished, “CHEVROLET” branded valve covers between block hugger headers and a polished bowtie breather. Behind that breather, a familiar Delco-Remy distributor shoots spark through loomed Accel plug wires. Opposite that HEI, traditional V-belts twist bright pulleys which, along with chrome brackets, float a polished alternator beside a polished AC compressor. In front of those ancillaries, a lightweight radiator centers a large Cooling Components puller fan behind a polished expansion tank. And the monochromatic mill sits pretty in a glossy engine bay that's finished with a smoothed firewall.

DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION

Toss this classic on a lift and you'll find solid floorpans that frame thoughtfully upgraded mechanicals in a clean coat of Satin Black paint. Behind the smooth-revving small block, a trusty Turbo-Hydramatic 350 3-speed twists power to a 10-bolt axle that's finished with silky, 2.92 gears. That drivetrain rolls on a fully rebuilt suspension, which incorporates modern power steering into a Camaro front-clip. Power-assisted disc and drum brakes provide quick, drama-free stops. Exhaust gasses exit through a series of aluminized pipes that are positioned around throaty Magnaflow mufflers. Torque transitions through polished Billet Specialties Daggers, which spin 235/45R18 Nexen N5000s in front of 275/40ZR18 Nexen N5000s. And the car's intricate frame parallels a variety of top-notch finishing components that include a finned transmission cooler and a large stainless fuel tank.

INTERIOR

Check inside this custom and you'll find a supple leather cockpit that's much nicer than vintage factory digs. Firm bucket seats, swiped from modern metal, feature power adjustment for the car's driver. In front of those thrones, a leather-wrapped dash plants Pioneer audio and Vintage Air climate control between stylish Classic Instruments gauges and a matching Classic Instruments clock. Beneath that dash, a custom console anchors a polished e-brake next to a B&M Quick Silver shifter. And in front of the driver, a polished and leather-wrapped steering wheel laps a tilting Ididit column.
