----------

In the days of Hellcat Challengers, and companies that engineer modern performance products for anything from a Civic to a Cadillac, it's safe to say the pro-touring movement is alive and well. And every so often we get a killer pro-tourer that instantly draws a crowd, even in our showroom of exclusive, one-of-a-kind muscle cars. This national award-winning Charger, which mixes 572 cubic inches of Indy Cylinder Head Hemi with custom underpinnings and chill-inducing aesthetics, literally defines the phrase “timeless show car”. Looking for a lights-out classic that's poised to cut conversations and strain necks? Look no further than this stunning MoPar super star!

BODYWORK/TRIM

Created by MirandaBuilt of Delray Beach, Florida, this clean coupe, appropriately nicknamed “Charged”, scored First Place honors at the 2015 Detroit Autorama. While the car itself is incredibly intricate, its 3,000-hour build originated through a simple idea from simpler times: a local customer owned a 1970 Charger during his youth and decided he wanted another one. Custom-mixed by MirandaBuilt, the car's shell is PPG CX Charcoal that adds heavy metal flake to base from Ford's F150 Harley-Davidson line. And naturally, that pigment looks right at home under Matte Black war paint and a Light Bronze pin stripe. At the front of the 2-stage, a custom grille cages bright headlights behind clear parking lamps and a shortened, tucked and smoothed bumper. Above that grille, a sculpted hood leads the eye to fresh glass that's cased in painted stainless trim. At the sides of that bonnet, a faceted profile anchors a billet fuel filler and aftermarket door handles between shaved mirrors, filled marker lamps and aggressive, flush-fit exhaust. And at the back of that profile, a custom valance centers a custom, one-piece taillight above a custom roll pan and a second shortened, tucked and smoothed bumper.

ENGINE

Check this MoPar's hand-fabricated engine bay and you'll find 572 cubic inches of Race Legend Hemi that, thanks to the power-hungry pros at Indy Cylinder Head, twists 667 horsepower into 735 lb./ft. of torque. At the front of the CNC-prepped Mega Block, twin Viper throttle bodies force air through a sheetmetal intake that was supplied by Hogan's Racing Manifolds. That plane feeds CNC-prepped heads, which stack Comp roller lifters and Indy roller rockers under fabricated valve covers. At the front of those heads, a hot MSD distributor sequences fire through pliable MSD plug wires. At the front of those wires, a Billet Specialties Tru Trac serpentine drive spins a modern AC compressor opposite a modern alternator. Exhaust roars through custom, long-tube headers. And details like a deep-sump oil pan, a proven Wilwood master cylinder, snazzy Fesler hinges and FAST EZ EFI Engine Management cement this car's status as a well-blended piece of timeless mechanical art.

DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION

It doesn't take a "promotional video from AccuAir":https://youtu.be/8iZTcOuDMAU for enthusiasts to notice this Charger's killer stance. That e-Level Air Management System is wired through a custom suspension that employs RideTech ShockWave bags. Behind the Hemi, a Powertrain Control Solution TCM-2000 controller jolts a Rossler 4L80E 4-speed, which makes excellent use of a Reid bellhousing and J.W. Performance flexplate. Behind that gearbox, an 8.75-inch MoPar axle spins a Truetrac differential. Power rack-and-pinion steering leads a full complement of disc brakes, which mix Light Bronze calipers with drilled and slotted rotors. Exhaust rolls from the aforementioned headers in to custom, 3-inch pipes that are tailored to Borla ProXS mufflers. And at the corners of the car, ceramic-cleared Schott F-10s spin 245/35ZR20 Pirelli P Zeros in front of 335/25ZR22 Pirelli Scorpion Zeros.

INTERIOR

Inside this awesome Dodge, a custom cockpit weaves modern convenience in to timeless aesthetics. Plush bucket seats anchor four occupants on Light Bronze stitching. In front of those thrones, an aluminum-trimmed dash hangs a full suite of Auto Meter Cobalt telemetry above Vintage Air Gen IV climate control and Alpine touchscreen audio that's strung between JL speakers, dual amplifiers and a quality Audison processor. At the bottom of that ledge, a “Charged” branded console centers a Shiftworks bump shifter behind INFINITYWIRE inMOTION ignition that's wired to INFINITYWIRE inRESERVE security. And in front of the driver, a tilt steering column bridges the gap between billet foot pedals and a stylish Billet Specialties wheel.
