When it comes to universal appeal, few cars bring it quite like the Chevrolet Corvette. While a lot of its competitors placed an emphasis on speed, exclusivity, or some other singular piece of the puzzle, the Corvette did its best to be the attainable sports car for every man. A prime example of that 'best all-around' mindset is this sweet C1 roadster. A 3-time NCRS Top Flight winner, it wraps timeless American style around a trusty Powerglide 2-speed and 283 cubic inches of hot Chevrolet small block. Looking for some choice vintage muscle to take to the streets or the show? Check out this awesome Vette!

Sealed in a traditional combination of Roman Red and Ermine White 2-stage, this Corvette sports a roster of national honors that includes three NCRS Top Flight awards. The car's smooth body was carefully restored to better-than-new condition by Impatient Creations of Alabaster, Alabama. As you can see from our high-resolution photography, that profile features great alignment, reflecting a crisp finish that contrasts a tight white top. That body's combination of form, fit and flash reinforces the fact that this Chevy was a solid driver before its detailed metamorphosis began. And today, it rolls as one fully sorted curve carver that's virtually guaranteed to captivate and impress!

Tilt the lightweight hood and you'll find 283 cubic inches of smooth Chevrolet small block. Behind that venerable V8, a smooth Powerglide 2-speed twists torque through a rebuilt GM axle that's packed with big, 3.55 gears. That drivetrain rolls in a familiar double A-arm front and solid axle rear suspension, which was professionally restored by Hillbilly Vette Shop of Kingsport, Tennessee. At the corners of the car, standard drum brakes supplement good handling characteristics with solid and confident stops. Exhaust is funneled through 2.5-inch, true-dual pipes, which make excellent use of long turbo mufflers. And power meets the pavement through Roman Red steelies, which spin 6.70-15 BF Goodrich Silvertown whitewalls around traditional stainless wheel covers.

Open this C1's tossable doors and you'll find a seamless Red interior that's been completely rebuilt with quality Al Knoch restoration components. Seating comes courtesy of familiar vinyl thrones. From the driver's perch, a painted and padded dash hangs factory gauges, professionally rebuilt by Joe Ray Parts Co. of North Little Rock, Arkansas, between a factory heater and a requisite Wonder Bar radio. Below that dash, a polished shifter sails textured carpet, which is protected by color-keyed mats. And in front of the driver, a speed-drilled steering wheel laps a polished cross-flag hub.

When it comes to maximizing the amount of muscle your money buys, you simply can't go wrong with America's favorite sports car. Thanks to its thorough restoration, this national award-winning Chevy is a great driving piece that's fun, historic and reliable. If you're looking for a stylish classic that commands respect on both the boulevard and the show field, this fashionable Vette is just your style!
