The beneficiary of a nut-and-bolt, rotisserie restoration that was completed by a dedicated enthusiast, this awesome Chevelle presently rolls in better-than-new condition. Naturally, that detailed reboot began with a fully stripped body. That massaged profile was resprayed in correct Classic White 2-stage, which looks especially dynamic under a correct Black top and Tuxedo Black Super Sport Stripes. All expected Super Sport trim is present and accounted for, from the black grille and pinned Cowl Induction Hood to the ornate emblems and black bumper inlay. And today, this spectacular muscle car combines the best aspects of big block Chevrolet performance with the gratuitous fun and old school style that only a classic drop-top can provide.

BIG POWER

Measuring in at a familiar 454 cubic inches, this convertible's ferocious big block is clean, classic and ready to rumble! That mill funnels power to a tough Turbo-Hydramatic 400 3-speed, which spins a familiar 12-bolt axle that's finished with a posi-traction differential and big, 3.73 gears. That killer drivetrain rolls on an upgraded F41 Special Performance Suspension, which mixes thicker springs, mandatory sway bars and boxed rear control arms with quality QA-1 shocks. Factory power steering joins 4-wheel power disc brakes to provide greatly improved handling. Fried dinosaurs travel through a fresh, true-dual exhaust system that's complete with polished stainless tips. And at the corners of the car's Classic White floors, stainless-trimmed Super Sport Wheels twist 235/60R15 BF Goodrich Radial T/As around correct SS center caps.

FRESH FLASH

Open this second generation Chevelle's solid doors and you'll find a correct Medium Red interior that provides plenty of vivid contrast to the car's effervescent profile. That fully restored cockpit is centered on stainless-trimmed buckets. At the front of those thrones, a crack-free dash hangs optional deluxe telemetry next to factory air conditioning and modern RetroSound audio. At the base of that dash, fade-free carpet floats a factory console and a traditional Horseshoe Shifter between modified kick panels that frame big Pioneer speakers. At the sides of that carpet, stainless-trimmed door panels add a little visual pop. And the driver turns a reproduction Chevrolet Rally Wheel around a tilting column.
