SINISTER AESTHETICS
The beneficiary of a detailed, ground-up restoration that was completed in the not-too-distant past, this storied Chevy wears a super solid body that's dressed in glossy black 2-stage. Both slick and deep, that polished pigment presents a decidedly sinister appearance thanks to choice blackout elements that are especially striking bathed in golden sunlight. Yet despite its heavily customized appearance, the car's trim and ornamentation remain a stylish mix of familiar attributes. Up front, a stainless-tinged Rally Sport grille hangs a blackout “SS” emblem between blackout headlights, a body-matched bumper, LED parking lamps and a custom chin spoiler. Behind that grille, a Camaro-branded header leads the eye to a ZL2 Cowl Induction Hood, which fronts tinted glass that centers modernized frames between painted drip rails and stainless wipers. At the sides of that glass, sporty F2 mirrors reflect a sculpted profile that's shaved of everything but bright marker lamps and painted door handles. And at the back of the car, a custom deck spoiler shades a second body-matched bumper, a second blackout “SS” emblem and modernized Rally Sport tail lamps.
BIG CHEVY POWER!
Straight from Chevrolet, this Camaro's 6.2 liter LSA twists 556 horsepower into 580 lb/ft of torque! That blower gets fed by a remote Spectre air cleaner, which bends around rectangular-port, L92-style heads that are dressed in short Belden plug wires. A nodular crank and powdered connecting rods join a hydraulic cam and hypereutectic pistons to create energy. Those Chevrolet-engineered internals funnel spent gases through monochromatic Stainless Works headers. There's a massive aluminum radiator that's slid between a dressed support, aftermarket fluid reservoirs, a Mr. Gasket Thermocap and big electric puller fans. A lucid serpentine drive spins a modern AC compressor opposite a modern alternator. Ancillaries are first rate in every way, with braided fluid lines and a liquid-filled Summit pressure gauge complementing quality Aeromotive fuel components and trusty Wilwood braking components. And the raucous mill rolls in a clean, body-matched frame that's finished with niceties like billet fender braces and billet hood supports.
SPEAKING OF ATHLETIC
Park this panther on a lift and you'll find a clean undercarriage that, like the car's polished body, benefits from a roster of desirable modifications. Just behind the motor, a Monster triple-disc clutch kicks a tough Tremec 6-speed, which twists power through a familiar Ford 9-inch that's finished with a posi-traction differential and big, 3.70 gears. That storied pumpkin pushes a full Total Cost Involved chassis, which rolls on a Torque Arm rear-clip that's built with a thick track bar, tubular control arms and Ridetech coil-over-shocks. Opposite that clip, a Mustang II front-half hangs power rack-and-pinion steering between a thick sway bar, tubular control arms and a second pair of Ridetech coil-overs. At the corners of that suspension, four Wilwood calipers squeeze four drilled and slotted rotors. Charred dinosaurs traverse large-diameter pipes, which bark through aggressive Magnaflow mufflers. Power meets the pavement through monochromatic blades, which spin 275/35ZR18 Michelin Pilot Super Sports in front of 345/30ZR19 Michelin Pilot Super Sports. And the car's solid, undercoated floors frame niceties like stainless fluid lines, a deep-sump oil pan and a fresh stainless fuel tank.
PURPOSEFUL COMFORT
Open this Camaro's tight-fitting doors and you'll find a tastefully customized interior that wraps timeless style in a nice blend of comfort and convenience. Bolstered TMI front buckets complement upgraded rear buckets that are split by deep cupholders. In front of those thrones, a wood-trimmed dash hangs upgraded telemetry next to modern climate control and direct-fit audio. At the base of that dash, a leather-trimmed console plants a trick VMS Truss shifter between two more cupholders and upgraded accessory gauges. Custom side panels string billet handles in front of quick power windows. And the driver spins an attractive, “SS” branded steering wheel around a modern, tilting column.
Well-built, fully detailed and attention grabbing in every way, this Camaro backs a lot of show with a whole lot of go. In summary, it's what every car guy wants: speed, style and endless good times! If you're ready to bring home one of the coolest Chevys on the market, free up some garage space and give us a call!
