A universally loved classic that's benefitted from a detailed, body-off restoration, this impressive 210 rolled straight out of the shop and right up to the show! Naturally, that reboot began with solid metal that was stripped completely bare. Once that profile was scrutinized and adjusted until it was as close to perfect as it could get, vivid red base was buried a glossy coat of clear. And the result is one timeless Chevy that displays better-than-factory fit under a spectacular, head-turning finish!

As a collector car enthusiast, you really can't go wrong with any '50s Chevy. But many folks cherish the outrageous swagger of the division's '57 model. At the front of this five-seven, a familiar gold grille hangs a legendary bowtie crest between hooded headlights, small parking lamps and a stylish, wraparound bumper. At the top of that grille, a rolled hood centers polished Speer Bullet and Spoons between Bel Air header dressing and bent glass that's draped in polished frames. Those frames float amid polished wipers, factory mirrors and a polished factory antenna. A “Bel Air” branded profile stretches graceful speed spears between Bel Air louvers, guarded door handles and conservative rocker shields. And at the back of the car, a second stylish bumper frames more Bel Air gold and bowtie-branded taillights.

THE SMALL BLOCK OF SMALL BLOCKS

Hoist this Chevy's long hood and you'll find 350 cubic inches of polished small block that's wedged inside a clean, highly detailed frame. At the top of that mill, a polished Chevrolet air cleaner hoists a trick Chevy wing nut above a fresh Spectre filter and a big Edelbrock carburetor. Under that Lokar-controlled 4-barrel, a polished Edelbrock Performer EPS intake feeds Edelbrock Performer RPM heads. Those lightweight heads tilt polished Chevrolet valve covers between tall Chevy ties, a polished Chevy breather and coated block hugger headers. At the back of those tubes, an aftermarket distributor sequences fire between a polished coil and loomed Moroso Blue Max plug wires. In front of those wires, billet pulleys join billet brackets to spin pliable V-belts around a polished alternator, a polished AC compressor and a polished water pump. A polished core support centers a polished Griffin radiator in front of SPAL puller fans. And details like a polished latch, polished block-off plates, trick dipsticks and a quality Wilwood master cylinder reflect a clean red engine bay.

THE ART OF RESTO-MODDING

Bottom-side, straight and solid floors have been over-restored to match this Chevy's slick shell. The proven 350 powers a cooled 700R4 4-speed, which spins a factory axle that's finished with an open differential and sporty, 3.31 gears. That drivetrain rides a lightly massaged chassis, which backs modern power rack-and-pinion steering. Short stops are provided by familiar discs and drums. Aluminized exhaust cages welded, dual-chamber mufflers. And power meets the pavement through chrome Coys wheels, which spin 235/40ZR18 Ventus Sports in front of 275/35ZR20 Ventus Sports.

CUSTOM COMFORT

Not to be outdone by the car's striking paint, this Bel Air's custom leather interior is a soothing study in style and class. At the front of the cockpit, a glossy dash frames bright Classic Instruments telemetry above modern, direct-fit audio. A small console centers two cupholders behind bowtie-branded air conditioning vents. Broad bench seats sail a sea of body-matched carpet, which contrasts stylish billet foot pedals. Custom side panels front modern power windows. And the driver loops a body-matched steering wheel around a polished, tilting column.
