When it comes to polished customs, the collector car world has plenty of nice rides – especially early Chevy trucks. But for every 'Farm Use' workhorse that's restored and slammed, the variety and creativity that's fueling the classic truck scene becomes a little more pedestrian. Thankfully, there are still beasts like this super cool C10 that remind us just how great today's builders are at turning creative vision into functional art. Powered by 383 cubic inches of high-compression stroker, backed by a tough BorgWarner 5-speed and dressed in sinister black paint, this trick truck epitomizes blue-collar American muscle. And if you're looking for a show-worthy cruiser that puts a new shine on old school ambition, they simply don't get nicer!

BRING THE SHOW!

A head-turning classic that's dashed with muscle car swagger, this exclusive C10 features a custom, motorsports-influenced appearance that's highlighted by a wet looking coat of Jet Black two-stage. That pigment wraps a solid profile that, after detailed restoration, was professionally sorted by the pros at Mooresville, North Carolina's Forge Speed. And today, this beast rolls as an unforgettable Chevy icon that's ready to start conversations at the meet and stop debates at the light!

There really isn't much you can do to make an Action Line Chevy more attractive. The truck's stout styling was a homerun when originally introduced, and today, it's a great example of some of the strongest elements of the highly regarded Mid Century movement. At the front of this cherry classic, a custom grille shades modern headlights behind a short valance that's been relieved of its bumper. A familiar Cowl Induction Hood leads a chip-free greenhouse that's finished with traditional, two-piece side glass. That glass caps a clean profile, which centers shaved doors on filled markers and shaved rockers. A massaged bed wraps sprayed liner around a polished fuel filler. And at the back of that texture, a large spoiler shades a filled tailgate, filled taillight pockets and a second short valance that swapped a factory bumper for hidden LEDs.

BRING THE GO!

Pop the hood and you'll find 383 cubic inches of stout Chevrolet small block that, according to this classic's current owner, strokes out roughly 485 horsepower! A stylish Edelbrock air cleaner feeds Holley Sniper fuel injection, which caps a polished Edelbrock RPM Air Gap intake. Hot MSD 6AL ignition sequences spark through an MSD Blaster 2 coil, a reliable HEI distributor and loomed MSD Super Conductor plug wires. Stylish Edelbrock valve covers center muted breathers on lightweight Edelbrock Performer RPM heads. A high compression cam beats rhythm through coated Hooker Competition headers. In front of those tubes, pliable V-belts spin a muted Proform alternator between modern power steering and a muted water pump. A big aluminum radiator keeps everything cool. The Jet Black block is seated in a glossy black engine bay that's clean and ready to roll. And that striking pigment is dotted with choice details like modern brake hardware, a modern catch can and braided Earl's fluid lines.

SEAMLESS UPGRADES

Take a long look under this Chevy and you'll find a roster of significant modifications that add up to impressive dynamics and big performance gains. The buff 383 utilizes a tough BorgWarner T5 5-speed to twist a trusty 12-bolt axle that's built with a posi-traction differential and big, 3.73 gears. That dressed third-member pushes a familiar independent front and truck arm rear suspension that's been upgraded with a big sway bar and sturdy CPP springs. Turns come courtesy of traditional power steering. Stops are quick and easy thanks to power-assisted discs and power-assisted drums. Spent gases are managed by aluminized pipes, which make excellent use of slim mufflers and NASCAR-style boom tubes. And power pounds the pavement through timeless Aero stock car wheels, which spin sporty yellow rims inside 295/50R15 Cooper Cobra Radial G/Ts.

JUST THE ESSENTIALS

If the exterior of this custom didn't effectively convey that this truck isn't for the faint of heart, its competition-ready interior certainly will! Built around the simple desire to drive, the monochromatic cockpit kicks off with sculpted houndstooth buckets that feature modern, three-point harnesses for both the driver and one lucky passenger. In front of those perches, a tastefully modified dash hangs precise Intellitronix telemetry next to pushbutton ignition and a small screen for the aforementioned Holley fuel injection. Fade-free carpet centers a long shifter beside bright foot pedals. And the driver carves curves through a soft Sparco steering wheel.

Stylish and alluring, this striking C10 is a bellwether of hot rod skill. Virtually every piece of this awesome Chevy fulfills a vision that's equal parts purpose and pedigree. Why not step up to something different? Grab this choice pickup and start turning heads!
