Logging only 1,295 miles since it rolled off GM's Lansing Grand River assembly line and straight in to the land of the legendary Indy 500, this banner Chevy was eventually shipped to Lingenfelter Performance Engineering for $27,773 worth of professional high performance upgrades. The car's vivid Red Hot two-stage, shielded from rain since new, presents a stirring appearance detailed with a Carbon Flash splitter, Carbon Flash rockers and tasteful “ZL1 LINGENFELTER” badging. Copious oxygen is supplied by a Nick Williams throttle body, which is married to a Roto-Fab Cold Air Intake. That air meets fuel with the help of Lingenfelter engine calibration and a Lingenfelter Big Bore Direct Injection High Volume Fuel Pump. Lingenfelter-massaged heads, CNC-ed, tested and fully rebuilt, seal billet Speed Engineering valve covers over COMP seats, COMP Dual Valve Springs and titanium retainers. A tough COMP roller cam works well with CTS-V racing lifters. Details like Lingenfelter KoolSox wire protectors and Lingenfelter supercharger badging ensure solid usability accompanies this bowtie's cool curb appeal. And the clean mill rolls in a weather-free engine bay that displays OEM-level attentiveness to both engineering and assembly.

WORLD CLASS ATHLETICS

The brutal LT4 spins power through a proven 10L90 10-speed automatic transmission, which twists an electronic limited-slip differential around sporty, 2.85 gears. That axle pushes a sport-tuned suspension that makes excellent use of GM's universally praised Magnetic Ride Control. Easy electronic power steering ensures you'll want to do more than hit the strip. Braking comes courtesy of serious Brembo calipers that, with the help of anti-lock and Stabilitrak, push a total of 20 pistons. Spent gases exit through stainless headers, which front Lingenfelter pipes, polished GM tips and a requisite GM Dual Mode muffler. And at the corners of the floor, forged Dark Graphite wheels lap original 285/30ZR20 Goodyear Eagle F1s in front of original 305/30ZR20 Goodyear Eagle F1s.
