LS Converted C10 Pickup Custom LS1 V8 Automatic Air Conditioning Air Ride
Cool trucks are hot!! And this well executed custom is no exception. This is a factory short bed 1972 Chevrolet Cheyenne wearing its original color combination of medium green two tone paint and was a great candidate for refresh! All sheet metal is original aside from the fenders, which is a fine testament to its past. The driver cab corner and rockers were restored during the the 2024 repaint, and the body massaged and straightened to a proud standard. All trim, including the desirable '72 only "egg crate" grill has been replaced or painstaking restored to match the new paint quality.
Under the hood, a far more efficient LS1 V8 replaces the original 350 V8 and is backed by a 4L60E automatic overdrive transmission and heavy duty 12 bolt rear axle. Cooling and exhaust upgrades were made to handle the new found power.
The killer stance is the result of widened rear wheel tubs and upgraded air ride suspension allowing the truck to sit nicely over racy 20" Salt Flat Special wheels and tires.
Inside, houndstooth bucket seats flank a buddy seat and position the driver behind updated Dakota Digital gauges, a classy wood rimmed steering wheel and air conditioning controls. Further improvements to comfort include power steering, power front disc brakes, and an impressive stereo system.
