Restored and Updated Road Runner 512ci Stroker V8 EFI Automatic A/C Coilovers
This 1969 Plymouth Road Runner blends classic muscle car heritage with modern performance and cosmetic upgrades, making it a true street machine. Finished in an attractive light green clear coat with contrasting satin black hood stripes, this Mopar's updates were completed in 2022 and has approximately 2,200 miles since completion. The chrome and stainless trim present very well and are complimented by modern LED lighting all around. Traditional 'Road Runner' branding adorns the doors, and '383' callouts on the hood give this B-body a “sleeper” vibe.
Under the hood, a 512ci stroker based on a 400 B-series block delivers raw power, fed by a Holley Sniper EFI system for smooth performance. The cooling system has been updated with an aluminum radiator with electric fans. Custom valve covers help dress the engine bay, and a familiar 'Coyote Duster' air cleaner feeds air to the EFI system. And a modern serpentine system allows for reliable performance for the charging system, air conditioning, and power steering. Based off a 4L60E, power is sent through a Silver Sport Transmissions A41 Stage 3 4-speed automatic transmission to an 8 ¾ inch rear end with a Sure Grip differential and 3.55 gears for a solid balance of acceleration and cruising capability.
The chassis has been upgraded with an updated K-member, a 4-link rear suspension, and Ridetech coilovers for improved handling. Stopping power comes from power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes, ensuring confident braking performance. A dual exhaust with MagnaFlow mufflers lets the rowdy engine breathe, delivering an aggressive tone. The underbody is finished in black undercoating for durability and a clean look.
Rolling on chrome 20” US Mag wheels with a red rim stripe, the setup features OHTSU FP8000 tires up front and Mickey Thompson Street Comp rubber in the rear, maximizing grip and stance.
