Alloway's Hot Rod Shop Built '32 Roadster 350ci V8 Automatic Currie 9"
This '32 Ford Highboy roadster is pure hot rod heaven, brought to life by the legendary Alloway's Hot Rod Shop. Built to be the star giveaway at the 2012 Shades of the Past car show in Pigeon Forge, this custom cruiser is drenched in glossy metallic blue and packed with clean details. The sleek fiberglass body sits on a color-matched tubular frame and features LED taillights, and a power-operated trunk lid for a touch of modern convenience.
Slide into the cabin, and you'll find a cockpit tailored by Steve Holcomb's Pro Auto Custom Interiors. Dark blue leather wraps the bench seat and door panels, while square-weave carpets, chrome sill plates, and a Lokar shifter complete the vintage-meets-luxury vibe. A Billet Specialties steering wheel sits on a tilting column, facing a body-color dash with Classic Instruments gauges—each dial proudly carrying the “Shades of the Past” branding.
Under the hood, a small block 350ci V8 roars to life, fed by a Holley 4-barrel carb on top of an Edelbrock intake manifold. A Billet Specialties accessory drive setup and a custom, body-matched air cleaner and valve covers add some style, while Sanderson headers channel power through a dual exhaust system with MagnaFlow mufflers for that signature hot rod rumble. Power is sent through a TCI TH350 3-speed automatic transmission to a polished Currie 9” rear end with 3.31 gears.
This roadster rides on a Pete & Jake's front suspension with a chrome drop axle, radius rods, and tube shocks, while the rear features a four-link setup with adjustable coilovers for a perfect stance. 17" front and 20" rear Billet Specialties wheels wear staggered Fullway and Hankook tires. And front disc brakes bring everything to a stop when needed.
This '32 Ford Highboy is a showstopper from every angle, blending classic hot rod heritage with top-tier craftsmanship. Whether you're cruising Main Street or stealing the spotlight at a car show, this is the kind of ride that turns heads and makes memories.
