Cameo Green Continental Convertible 462ci V8 Automatic Air Conditioning
Purchased out of Colorado in 2004, this 1967 Lincoln Continental Convertible has been under the care of the same owner for over 20 years. During that time, it underwent a full restoration followed by additional mechanical and cosmetic improvements performed by Lincoln Land Inc. of Clearwater, Florida. Accompanied by service records dating back to 2004 and a documented history of upkeep, this slab-sided cruiser blends authentic presentation with smart upgrades for reliable enjoyment.
The factory color combination of Cameo Green over Dark Ivy Gold was retained during the restoration, with the body repainted by Color Concepts of Clearwater, FL and the brightwork refinished to match. Subtle and refined, Cameo Green is a pale, almost silvery sage that shifts softly in changing light—an elegant alternative to bolder 1960s hues and a natural fit for the Continental's refined design language. The power-operated convertible top was replaced following a full sandblast and repaint of the top frame. A dedicated hydraulic motor was installed, and the rear windows were properly adjusted at that time. The car rides on 15-inch steel wheels with polished covers wrapped in 235/75R15 whitewall tires.
Under the hood, a correct 462 cubic inch V8 is backed by a C6 three-speed automatic transmission. Power is sent to a 9” rear axle with 3.00 gearing. Additional upgrades include a custom 100-amp alternator, Pertronix electronic ignition, stainless-steel exhaust, and a replacement starter installed in 2022. The engine has fewer than 10k miles since the rebuild, which was completed at approximately 56,200 miles. Power steering and power-assisted front disc brakes round out the mechanical package.
The cabin was retrimmed in its correct shade of Dark Ivy Gold, complemented by a matching dash, door panels, and sound-deadened replacement carpeting. While Lincoln labeled the interior color “gold,” it renders more as a deep, metallic green with subtle bronze undertones depending on the light...rich, period-correct, and a perfect match for the car's upscale character. Features include a power-adjustable front bench seat, power windows and locks, lap belts, air conditioning, and an AM/FM radio mounted in the dash. An upgraded Bluetooth-capable Pioneer head unit is tucked into the glovebox and wired to Polk Audio speakers. A two-spoke tilting steering wheel frames a horizontal-sweep 120-mph speedometer and a fuel gauge. The air conditioning blows cold and power windows operate as they should.
With its unmistakable presence, pillarless design, and iconic rear-hinged doors, the 1967 Continental Convertible remains one of the most elegant and recognizable American cars of its era. This example benefits from long-term ownership, quality restoration work, and thoughtful mechanical updates that make it equally suited for weekend cruising, local shows, or adding a touch of classic luxury to any collection.
