1,000+hp Capable Camaro Resto-Mod ProCharged 540 Stroker V8 5-speed Leather
There are show cars. There are street cars. And then there are cars like this, machines so unapologetically engineered for performance that their beauty feels like a bonus. This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro doesn't just look the part, it backs it up with a brutal 540ci big block and a polished ProCharger setup capable of over 1,000 horsepower. And while it wears its trophy-winning restoration with pride, this thing isn't just for turning heads. It was built to turn tires. It's a turnkey street brawler that doesn't need permission, doesn't make excuses, and doesn't care what you think. The hardware is real. The quality is real. And the moment you fire it up, so is the intention.
Originally built at GM's Norwood plant as a true Z/28, the body has been taken down to bare metal and brought back better than new in a rich coat of Sunset Pearl Metallic. The paintwork is smooth, glossy, and consistent across every panel, from the custom carbon fiber print chin spoiler up front to the tucked rear bumper and factory-style decklid spoiler. Original-style badging and a tall cowl hood give the car a clean, aggressive stance that stays true to its muscle car roots. Chrome bumpers, billet accents, and LED lighting modernize the look without getting cheesy. It's slammed just enough to look serious, and it sits on a staggered set of bonspeed Laguna wheels wrapped in Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/R rubber that tells you traction wasn't an afterthought.
Lift the hood and there's no question about priorities. That ProCharged 540 was built by RaceKrafters Machine in Pennsylvania, and it's the heart of this Camaro's identity. The big block is tuned to a streetable 800 horsepower but can twist out over 1,000 hp and nearly as much torque when leaned on. The build features Dart 345cc heads, an Edelbrock Victor Jr. intake, a Holley blow-through carb, and a full suite of top-shelf parts including ARP fasteners, Hooker Super Comp headers, a CVR Proflo water pump, and a polished aluminum radiator with electric fan. A methanol injection system has been added for extra cooling and detonation resistance under boost, making the setup even more potent when pushed. The carbon-wrapped charge piping and matching valve covers give it a show-car finish, but nothing about this setup is ornamental. Every line is plumbed with care. Every wire is routed cleanly. And the sound is as vicious as you'd expect from a Camaro this committed. The exhaust note is deep and aggressive, but it's the angry whine of the ProCharger that sets the tone.
Backing that monster is a Tremec 5-speed manual and a 9-inch rear with 3.73 gears and Positraction, with power sent through a ladder bar rear suspension fitted with QA1 adjustable coilovers, a diagonal link, and integrated mini tubs. The chassis uses a factory front subframe upgraded with tubular control arms, Koni shocks, and a thick sway bar. Braking is handled by a Baer master cylinder feeding a mix of Baer and GM calipers, clamping down on drilled and slotted rotors at all four corners. Exhaust exits through true dual pipes, Flowmaster mufflers, and polished stainless tips. There's a scatter shield for safety, subframe connectors for stiffness, and a stainless fuel cell for reliability. It's all business under here, with just enough flash to make it worthy of a mirror underneath at your next show.
The interior is a bold mix of leather, carbon fiber print, and color-matched materials that echo the exterior hue and push the custom vibe even further. Twin bucket seats are upholstered in coachbuilt-level craftsmanship in a mix of rust-orange leather with turquoise piping and carbon-textured inserts that match the dash, trunk paneling, and even the air intake tubing under the hood. AutoMeter Carbon Fiber Ultra-Lite gauges sit behind a Budnik steering wheel, with polished bezels and bright yellow needles that give off just enough motorsport energy. A full-length custom console houses a billet Ringbrothers shifter, a polished e-brake handle, and Sony head unit with Bluetooth and SiriusXM capability controlling the modern stereo system. The trunk is fully upholstered to match the cabin, complete with billet hinges and custom audio enclosures. Every inch is finished. Every corner is intentional.
This car is a weapon wrapped in classic sheet metal. While plenty of show cars are built to look like they make power, this one actually does. It's loud, fast, and engineered to move, not just pose. Built to dominate both on the street and in the show circuit, it delivers a visceral driving experience backed by serious hardware and high-end craftsmanship.
