Purpose-Built '76 Bronco 4x4 302ci V8 Automatic A/C Lifted Suspension
The first-generation Bronco remains one of the purest expressions of American off-road design. Compact, capable, and unmistakably cool, it's the 4x4 that never went out of style. This 1976 Ford Bronco carries that legacy forward with a professional restoration and a thoughtful set of upgrades by Nick's Trix in Denver, North Carolina. It was rebuilt for real-world use, combining classic looks with the reliability and drivability that make you want to keep grabbing the keys, and it stands out every bit as much as the big-money builds..
The body is all original steel, completely realigned and refinished in deep metallic blue by Motorsports Image of Mooresville, North Carolina. The color change was performed to professional standards, with stripped panels, fresh hardware, and rebuilt doors. Chrome accents, clean glass, and three distinct tops, a factory hardtop, a bimini top, and black Can-Back soft top, complete the look. The stance is right where it should be thanks to a 3.5-inch Jeff's Bronco Graveyard lift with Rancho RS9000 shocks and Duff extended radius arms. It rolls on American Racing Diamond Back wheels wrapped in 33-inch BFGoodrich All-Terrain tires, framed by Cross Enterprises bumpers with KC Daylighters and a swing-away spare carrier.
Power comes from a rebuilt 302 cubic-inch V8 topped with an aluminum intake, Holley 4-barrel carburetor, and Hedman longtube headers feeding a dual exhaust. A rebuilt C4 automatic transmission with a shift kit sends power through a Dana 20 transfer case to a Dana 44 front axle and Ford 9-inch rear, a proven combination that delivers strength, balance, and durability under demanding conditions. With 4.11 gears, power steering, power front disc brakes, and stainless braided lines, it feels composed on any terrain. A mounted air compressor under the hood adds real-world utility, perfect for inflating tires or running air tools on the trails.
Inside, the cabin was finished with a focus on comfort and durability. Custom diamond-stitched saddle seats give the interior an upscale look, paired with a matching rear bench and three-point belts up front. A family-style 6-point roll cage adds security without crowding the cabin, while Line-X coated floors make cleanup easy. The dash integrates a centered gauge cluster with chromed bezels, billet A/C vents, and Vintage Air HVAC controls for modern cooling. A Tuffy locking console provides secure storage and houses a Kenwood head unit with Bluetooth and SiriusXM capability, connected to modern speakers for clean, powerful sound. The combination of saddle upholstery, metal accents, and functional detailing gives the interior a warm, purposeful character that fits the Bronco's go-anywhere attitude.
This Bronco is the kind of build that can be enjoyed without compromise. It was restored with purpose, engineered for use, and refined where it counts. The result is a classic that stays true to its roots while delivering the kind of tight, well-sorted experience that makes every drive feel like an event.
