Officially tagged as 08-467 by its dash plaque, this Mustang is car number 467 of only 679 2008 427R coupes built by Roush Performance. Fully optioned from Ford and upfitted for even more show and go at Roush Performance, this 427R is one of only 108 Torch Red 427Rs produced in 2008, one of only 89 Torch Red 2008 427Rs to be equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission and one of only 19 Torch Red 427R 5-speeds to wear Matte Black decals.
This glowing red street rocket has been meticulously cared for since new and presents excellent in every way. The body is 100% straight with no history of accidents or damage of any kind, and a close look down the fuselage reveals not so much as a dent or ding anywhere. Roush's high quality paint and bodywork blend invisibly with the cars tight and glossy factory panels; and overall, this Mustang conveys a premium sense of collectability that, when combined with its spectacular performance, creates a timeless modern classic.
At the front of the car, a traditional Mustang grille holds two crystal clear driving lights between two factory black bucket headlights. Below that grille, a custom Roush front valence hangs custom Roush lower valence lamps and functional cooling ducts above an aggressive and functional chin spoiler. Above that grille, a factory Mustang GT hood props a custom Roush scoop below prominent “Roushcharged” decals and a centered black stripe. Behind the hood, great looking factory glass displays a silver “Roush” windshield banner between factory, flat black rear view mirrors and retro looking fiberglass quarter window covers. At the sides of the car, traditional Roush Performance emblems sit inside of swept black Roush “427R” decals which line up on the cars cowl and narrow as they run rearward. Behind those stripes, a trunk mounted, fiberglass racing spoiler is sandwiched between a small satellite radio antenna and two pristine factory tail lights. And at the back of the car, a custom Roush “427” faux fuel filler emblem is centered above a stylized rear bumper which houses stainless Roush branded exhaust tips.
Created as a turnkey package for enthusiasts who want a reliably engineered Mustang which unlocks the full performance potential of Fords 4.6 liter V8, the 427R utilizes an intercooled supercharger to crank out 435 horsepower and 400 lb./ft. of torque. Roush's patented Roushcharger is an Eaton style blower that sits atop the engine and exhales through an air-to-liquid intercooler that helps manage on-track temperatures. In front of the blower, you'll find a custom Roush air induction system and below the blower you'll find a custom Roush Performance intake manifold. Despite Fords 4.6 liter being a very strong engine as is, a few upgrades were implemented to deal with the rigors of racing including a beefier cooling system and a recalibrated ECM. On the radiator support you'll find a Roush Performance badge that lists the cars power output and verifies that this is the 467th 2008 427R produced, and on the passenger's side inner fender you'll find a satin metal plate with the signature of the guy who assembled the car. Number 8's engine bay features Roush Performance's typical OEM style expertise and displays hardly any signs of usage at all. When the engine is fired up, the custom air intake combines with the awesome Roushcharger to provide a sinister whine at idle and an incredible roar from trackside.
The D2C platform is a very capable foundation which, with the added power from Roush Performance, makes this track ready Mustang a true force to be reckoned with. Behind the engine, a factory 5-speed manual drives a rugged Ford 8.8-inch rear end which houses a Detroit TrueTrac differential with road course appropriate 3.55 gears. That stout drivetrain combines with a Roush tuned front strut and three link rear suspension to give the car long legs at the big end and good power out of the corners. Braking is handled by factory equipped front and rear discs that are aided by Fords standard anti-lock system; and the cars killer exhaust note is provided by custom stainless steel catbacks which are exclusive to Roush vehicles. At the corners, fantastic looking chrome Roush Performance 18 inch forged alloy wheels are secured by chrome lug nuts and wear super sticky 275/40 Cooper Zeon 2XS radials. Aesthetically, the bottom of this solid 427R is clean, shows no signs of abuse, and presents a leak-free driveline that is very characteristic of its low-mileage, weekend cruiser history.
Inside the cockpit of this super cool Mustang, Roush Performance implemented subtle but tasteful upgrades which are immediately noticeable from both an appearance and performance standpoint. The seats are amazing looking black buckets which feature red stitching and bright red center pieces with black Jack Roush signatures. In front of the driver, custom Roush Performance gauges feature Jack Roush's signature below white readouts that are lit in red. Beside the driver, a Roush branded short throw shifter features a black cue ball style Roush shift knob, and blends perfectly into the center console. At the floor, Roush Performance pedals hang over like-new black carpet which is protected by spotless factory floor mats and bordered by satin finish Roush sill plates. And behind the cockpit, the trunk is still in its completed factory state and looks as good as the day the car was assembled. Naturally, all of the Mustang amenities that you've come to expect are included in this car such as climate control, a powerful stereo with a Shaker six CD changer, cruise control and power accessories, and it is sure to be as comfortable on the road as any 'run of the mill' new car.
Documentation included with the sale of this 427R is the cars original Ford window sticker, the cars original owner's manual and warranty books, and the cars original Roush Performance window sticker and Roush Performance paperwork.
The name Jack Roush is legendary at race tracks around the world, so when he puts his name on a line of track proven Mustangs, you know they're going to be something special. There's little to fault in this awesome 427R; it's a superb car with out-of-the-box abilities which allow it to embarrass any number of vehicles without breaking a sweat. If you're one of those guys who likes to go tear up some pavement on the weekends, this Roush Mustang was built for you!

What Customers Are Saying
Some large branded car dealers could learn a lot from you guys on how to treat a customer and close the deal without the painful game that follows when you are just trying to buy a vehicle. Finally, a special thanks to you for priority you placed on closing this deal in record time. also a thanks out to Greg Smith for taking the lead on getting the truck to my location. he also is very good a making it happen versus just talking about what could happen.
Most of my car friends know about RK Motors and the high level of vehicles you offer at much less than anyone could build the same vehicle. going forward I will promote that the people & process are at the same level as the vehicles that RK Motors offers.
