Description

If you've been paying attention to our new inventory you've probably noticed that we're selling a lot of Eleanor Mustangs. First, we featured our killer 393 pro-touring car which left the showroom in just one week flat. Then we posted a 428 Cobra Jet car which fronted the website for only two weeks before a lucky owner signed the papers. And now, we're bringing you this award winning 2007 Sanderson Mustang which takes the handsome looks of those classic Eleanors and adds four decades worth of better technology. Averaging only 1,300 miles per year since new, this awesome modern muscle car wraps a 500 horsepower supercharged V8, a leather lined interior and a fully adjustable air ride suspension in custom Sanderson bodywork and correct Pepper Gray paint. You know, at RK Motors Charlotte, we believe the only thing better than a car that sells fast is a car that runs fast. And with the ability to handily smoke almost any vintage Eleanor at the stoplight or the race track, this 2007 Sanderson Mustang is the perfect car for any enthusiast who wants to go fast and look good doing it!

Sanderson's Customs and Conversions is a small company in Pilot Point, Texas that builds limited edition tribute cars which have the serious performance to back up their killer good looks. For the 2007 model year, Sanderson's released 50 Eleanor tributes, just like the one you see here, through their premier dealer, O'Meara Ford in Thornton, Colorado. And now $115K and one owner later, this trophy winning muscle car joins our RK Motors Charlotte showroom as one of the coolest modern Mustangs we've ever offered. Take one look at the cars straight and the dent-free panels and it becomes apparent that this Mustang has been pampered and meticulously cared for since new. Sanderson's high quality paint and bodywork blend invisibly with the cars tight factory panels. And overall, the glossy Pepper Gray and Black finish presents flawlessly thanks to excellent care and strategically placed protective film which fends off renegade road debris.

The thing that sets Sanderson's apart from other specialty shops is the amount of quality and pride put into every vehicle they produce. This 2007 Mustang seamlessly integrates a full Sanderson body kit, which came with the car at purchase, with additional work that was molded in by the shop long after this Mustang rolled off the showroom floor. At the front of the car, traditional Mustang headlights and custom Sanderson billet grilles anchor a custom Sanderson front valence which is complete with large center mount fog lights, small round driving lights and vertical, mesh brake ducts. Behind that front valence, a Sanderson fiberglass hood props satin finished Shelby hood pins below a pristine factory windshield which features a rock deterring protective film. At the base of that windshield, body-matched Mustang mirrors hang over shaved Lamborghini doors which hinge behind specially massaged front fenders that are topped by traditional Sanderson mesh filled vents. At the bottom of those fenders, custom Sanderson rockers wrap around functional side pipes which exit just below hand molded Sanderson B-pillar and fender scoops, a body-matched magnetic fuel filler door and tinted factory side and rear windows. Behind those mesh filled scoops, a Shelby style, Sanderson fiberglass racing spoiler hangs between a small satellite radio antenna and pristine sequential factory tail lights. And at the back of the car, a custom “Sanderson SCT M3000” faux fuel filler emblem sits top dead center over a stylized Sanderson rear bumper.

As a turnkey package, this reliably engineered Sanderson Mustang already featured a polished Saleen supercharger which topped Fords stalwart 4.6 liter V8 with 5 psi of boost and cranked out a solid 430 rear wheel horsepower. But, as with its body, the car's owner decided to turn better into best by adding a smaller pulley, a new intake manifold and a thorough re-jetting which dials that boost up to 8 psi and now sends over 500 horsepower to the rear wheels! At the top of the engine Saleens famous high efficiency supercharger breathes through a custom Saleen air intake that's cinched to a Ford Racing throttle body. At the sides of the engine, ceramic coated Sanderson headers ride below billet Sanderson shock covers which secure a Pepper Gray tower brace. And at the front of the engine, an attractive carbon fiber radiator shroud adds a little bit of form to a whole lot of function. The cars factory fresh engine bay features a nice clean OEM look and displays virtually no signs of wear at all. And small dress up items, like a complete set of chrome caps and dipsticks and Redline supports for the fully finished fiberglass hood, do a nice job of transforming an essentially factory powerplant into a show worthy crowd pleaser.

Ford's D2C platform is a very capable foundation which, with the added power of this Mustang's supercharged 4.6 liter V8, makes it a true force to be reckoned with! At the center of the floor, a factory 5-speed manual transmission drives a rugged Ford 8.8-inch rear end which houses Sanderson equipped 4.10 gears. At the ends of the floor, a fresh 2011 Air Ride Technologies programmable air suspension gives the car solid launches and good grip in the curves. And at the corners of the floor, Sanderson equipped Baer disc brakes utilize Fords standard anti-lock system to squeeze oversized drilled and slotted rotors. Power flows to the pavement through 20 inch body-matched Boss Motorsports wheels which spin Z-rated 255/35 front and 275/35 rear BF Goodrich G-Force T/As around chrome hardware and bright machine finished rims. And an aggressive, high performance soundtrack is provided by a custom Sanderson dual exhaust system which is fitted with both an X-pipe crossover and high flow catalytic converters. Aesthetically, the bottom of this solid Ford pony car is clean, shows no signs of abuse and presents a leak-free driveline that is very characteristic of the car's low-mileage, weekend cruiser history.

Tap the key fob and pop open the doors on this super cool Mustang, and you'll find a cockpit that features many small but tasteful upgrades which complement both Sanderson's work and Ford's already competent factory panels. The cars factory bucket seats feature standard power adjustment and heated bottoms under thick leather Sanderson equipped Tribute SCT covers which feel like they just rolled out of a small town upholstery shop. In front of those seats, an attractive fifth generation Mustang dash props a seamless Auto Meter gauge pod above slick carbon fiber panels that were installed by the cars previous owner, a push button ignition switch that comes courtesy of Sanderson, and a factory Ford navigation system which incorporates a great sounding CD changer. Between the seats, a Sanderson satin finished short throw shifter props a white cue ball shift knob above more great looking carbon fiber trim, a billet aluminum emergency brake handle and console mounted controls for the three level air suspension (which can also be programmed to the cars key fob). And at the sides of the seats, chrome Sanderson sill plates ride under factory Mustang GT door panels which have been detailed with carbon fiber control plates and bright chrome speaker grilles. Naturally, all of the modern amenities that you've come to expect are included in this car such as climate control, a powerful sound system, cruise control and full power accessories. And the previous owner even equipped the car with a LoJack theft deterrent system.

Documentation included with the sale of this awesome modern Eleanor is the cars original owner's manual and some detailed component manuals for the cars aftermarket bolt-ons.

The name Eleanor has become synonymous with ultimate Mustangs which provide unbeatable performance and spectacular looks. And there's little to fault in this awesome Sanderson Eleanor because it's a superb car with out-of-the-box abilities that are light years ahead of any classic Detroit metal which bears the same name. If you're one of those enthusiasts who likes to show your car on Friday AND tear up some pavement on Saturday, this limited edition Mustang was built for you!
