Description

If you're like most of us gearheads, you go to countless car shows and take in hundreds of cool cars with the plan of eventually building one kick ass hot rod that you can REALLY be proud of. Naturally yours will have all the cool tricks you've seen on other cars rolled into one awesome package. It'll have the perfect stance, a top notch powerplant, a leather-lined interior, and smooth red paint that'll let everyone know you've arrived in style. The problem is: haven't you been saying this very same thing for five years… ten years… has it already been twenty years?! It seems that you're a little long on the planning and WAY overdue for some octane fueled enjoyment. And at RK Motors Charlotte, we believe classic cars are built to be enjoyed, not planned to be enjoyed. This slick 1933 Ford Coupe is a complete 'smart buy' that'll fulfill your need for speed faster and cheaper than any car you've spent years idealizing. Why continue to prolong your enjoyment when this sweet street rod, with its modern small block V8, custom suspension and leather lined interior, is ready to turn all your dreams into reality!

This hot Ford's smooth and solid three window body began life at Outlaw Performance in Avonmore, Pennsylvania where it was fully reinforced, hand laminated and completely cured to ensure a level of quality that is consistent with steel. In fact while its body is fiberglass, its hood and side panels are indeed steel; and the car is so well done that you can't even tell the difference without either touching them or performing a tried and true magnet test. What's more, there are virtually no ripples in that 'glass and those steel pieces are fresh out of the dies creating an excellent canvas for a spectacular coat of bright red urethane. Of course, to execute any ultra-clean street rod well means you need to go the extra mile to get everything straight and even starting with a fresh body shell doesn't guarantee success. Fortunately, the guys working on this slick Ford coupe understood the scale of their mission and sanded it until their fingers were bleeding. Their hard work and dedication certainly paid off, as this stylish '33 Ford utilizes a mirror-like shine and virtually unbroken reflections to create one attention-grabbing street rod that is both subtle and impressive!

Striking an excellent balance of old and new alike, this well executed Ford mixes the unique appeal of pre-war design with the monochromatic style of modern hot rod building. At the front of the car, a pristine chrome grille hangs a stylish “V8” emblem inside a body-matched steel frame, chrome tri-bar headlights and small, round turn signals. Behind that grille, a three-piece hood flows to chopped and smoked glass which is flanked by chrome swan neck mirrors and small billet aluminum wipers. Below that smoked glass, straight fiberglass fenders align like-new running boards with factory-fitted suicide doors that are complete with hidden hinges and shaved door handles. And at the back of the car, a smooth power trunk lid rides between a flush fitting LED center high mount stop lamp, traditional '33 ford tail lights, a billet fuel cap and great looking oval exhaust tips. Many Ford details are notably preserved as well, including the smooth belt molding and beautifully sculpted hardtop roof lines, to provide a level of detail which gives this car a classic and timeless appearance.

Pull the latches on this '33 Ford's three-piece steel hood and you'll find a fresh, fit and fully rebuilt LT1 V8 which was donated by a 1995 Camaro Z28. At the top of the engine, a small reusable air filter shoots air into a factory sequential port fuel injection system through a reliable Street and Performance throttle body. That perfect air/fuel mixture flows into eight sequentially fired cylinders that are sparked by a complete Ron Francis wiring package and billet loomed Taylor performance plug wires. At the sides of the block billet aluminum valve covers, which perfectly match the car's billet aluminum fuel rail cover, hang above coated long tube headers which allow the car plenty of room to breathe. And at the front of the block, a polished serpentine system spins billet pulleys below a chrome alternator and a polished AC compressor. The car's clean and smoothed engine compartment is finished in the same glossy red as its exterior panels, which allows the thoroughly detailed motor with its assortment of braided hoses and details like billet dipsticks to create a lot of great looking texture and contrast. And everything from the gloss black Walker radiator and its electric pusher fan to the clean red hood and its billet aluminum brace bars is fully sorted and detailed for show.

Underneath this cool Ford street rod you'll find a rebuilt 4L60E 4-speed automatic transmission which came out of the same 1995 Camaro as the car's LT1 engine. Power flows from that proven transmission to a fresh gray driveshaft which spins a body-matched Ford nine inch rear end with pavement shredding 3.70 gears. Holding that stellar drivetrain off the ground is a sturdy boxed frame which is bolted to polished front control arms, polished rear ladder bars and polished coil over shocks at each corner. Turns are a cinch thanks to modern rack and pinion steering which provides a tight radius and great wheel feel. Stops come courtesy of modern four wheel power brakes which send fluid from a floor mounted master cylinder to large front discs and fresh rear drums. And exhaust is handled by polished, wrinkle bent true dual pipes which rumble through polished, two-chamber turbo mufflers. Not a detail was missed on the bottom of this fully sorted Ford coupe, and the car's many niceties include a polished stainless fuel tank that's equipped with braided fuel lines, a complete set of stainless hardware, silver detailed drivetrain components and completely finished, body-matched floors. Putting the power to the pavement is a mirror-like set of 15 inch polished aluminum Halibrand wheels which wear 195/65 front and 235/70 rear Goodyear Eagle GTII performance radials.

Inside this '33 Ford you'll find a great looking Gray Ultraleather interior which is both classy and fun. There's a modern, contoured seat which is firm, provides good support and looks fantastic. At the sides of that seat, gray window frames hang over sculpted door panels which feature slick billet handles, tight Ultraleather storage pockets and trick billet arm rests that are complete with both power window switches and puddle lamps. Below that seat upscale gray carpet, which is protected by color-keyed floor mats, anchors chrome Lokar pedals next to a chrome emergency brake handle. And above that seat a custom sculpted headliner hangs an XM capable Pioneer CD player above a billet rearview mirror. In front of the driver, the car's gray painted and leather trimmed dash props a full array of Dakota digital gauges above controls for the car's Vintage Air climate control system, billet knobs for the cars accessories and an auxiliary power outlet. And a polished four spoke steering wheel tops a gray Ididit steering column which features a billet shifter, billet stalks and a crystal clear gear indicator. Behind the cockpit, the car's fully upholstered trunk hangs gray Ultraleather panels above a carpeted floor which provides enough room to carry all the car show gear you need. And a Pioneer CD changer keeps the tunes flowing and the good times rolling through four great sounding speakers.

Included with the sale of this old school Ford is a nice stack of build receipts.

Fully sorted and ready to turn your dreams into reality tomorrow, this awesome street rod carries a cool swagger that's exactly what you had in mind. Forget building your own, this one is available for less than half of the build cost, and it's a turn-key piece ready to rock today!
