There's nothing better than taking in the sights on a scenic summer afternoon while you're cruising to the local hop for some homemade ice cream. And nothing says summertime fun like a Mustang GT with a folding top! This super low mileage road warrior features a rumbling 300 horsepower V8, a slick 4-speed transmission that shifts itself and a spectacular blue, black and gray color combination. And when you throw in a few great looking Saleen body modifications and a fresh set of chrome wheels, you get one super smooth and highly reliable fun machine that'll turn heads wherever it goes. Looking for a car that's impressive, easy to live with and up for anything? Come jump in this slick, high-performance tanning bed before the summer passes you by!

Showing an exceptionally low 5,844 miles on its four year old odometer, this Vista Blue boulevard cruiser has been meticulously maintained and is factory fresh in virtually every way. The car's title is 100% clean with no history of accidents or damage of any kind. Under its bright metallic paint, original body panels fit precisely and display great build quality. And a close look down its straight fuselage reveals not so much as a dent or ding anywhere. As you've probably noticed, Saleen's high quality cosmetic pieces blend invisibly with Ford's tight and glossy panels. The car's code G9 basecoat/clearcoat is clean, shines like new and provides a bit more sophistication than a typical 'bright paint and black stripe' package. And overall, this super slick GT conveys a premium sense of drivability that, when combined with its drop-top curb appeal, creates a timeless modern classic!

It's hard to argue with the killer good looks of Ford's fifth generation Mustang, and when Steve Saleen bolts up a few of his hottest styling enhancements the car's visual impact is taken to a whole new level! Up front, a redesigned bumper cover hangs a Saleen branded grille and small amber driving lights between familiar black bucket headlights, a racing-style air dam and a traditional Ford hood scoop. At the sides of the car, clean fenders ride between black factory mirrors, and great looking Saleen rocker panels. At the top of the car, a black canvas roof that's complete with a glass rear window seals over a pristine factory greenhouse that's complete with a centered “Saleen” banner. And out back, a fiberglass Saleen decklid hangs a large spoiler over small Saleen fender extensions, an LED center high mount stop lamp, a custom Saleen valence, an attractive Saleen branded bumper cover and perfectly centered exhaust tips.

Take a look under this reborn legend's hood and you'll find a world class 4.6 liter Ford 'mod motor' V8 which delivers an even 300 horsepower and a stout 320 lb./ft. of torque! Utilizing an aluminum block with a forged steel crank, forged steel connecting rods, forged aluminum pistons, aluminum heads and three valves per cylinder, it makes great muscle car sounds while providing surprising efficiency and a docile nature. Twist the key and the smooth mill rumbles to life, sending its bass notes down a 2.5-inch exhaust which bellows from dual stainless tips. Goose the throttle and 9.8 to 1 compression zings the engine towards redline thanks to a new, more aggressive camshaft. Drop the transmission into gear and the car buckles down into an eager lean with the tension and authority of a coiled snake. Aesthetically the engine bay looks very clean, not equipped with any of the flash you'd expect from a street-wise pony car and appearing, dare I say, much like a sleeper. But to anyone who knows anything about cars in general, the “Powered by Ford” logos and small silver ponies at the top of the block are a dead giveaway that this isn't just some run-of-the-mill grocery getter!

Straight from Dearborn, the D2C Mustang platform is a very capable foundation that's a true force to be reckoned with. Up front; a Macpherson strut independent suspension houses speed assisted power steering and giant front discs that are clamped by proven factory calipers. Out back; a three link solid axle rear end houses sporty but efficient 3.31 gears and two more factory calipers which clamp equally impressive discs. That suspension is aided by standard antilock brakes and traction control that are both very welcome if you use this car anywhere near its potential. Spent gases are whisked away by a factory true dual exhaust system which sounds aggressive even at idle. Sending the engines power to the ground is a slick shifting 4-speed automatic transmission which is as much fun in traffic as it is on entrance ramps. And all this proven hardware rides on awesome 18 inch chrome Saleen wheels which spin super sticky 245/40 Hankook Ventus radials around standard chrome lug nuts.

Inside the car, you'll find a comfortable and stylish cockpit that's ready for impressive sunsets and long road trips. At the center of the car, highly bolstered Saleen sport bucket seats fit like a glove. Inside the dash, an electro luminescent instrument panel rides behind attractive satin silver trim and features Ford's infinitely variable MyColor accent lighting. Below the dash, a factory shifter looks perfect between a silver topped console and a powerful MP3 compatible Shaker 500 audio system. And at the floor, like-new carpet shows virtually no wear and tear at all. Behind the cockpit, a factory finished trunk features ample storage space. In front of the driver, a factory steering wheel features a leather rim, redundant radio controls and a bright red, white and blue Mustang horn button. And naturally, all the amenities and convenience features you've come to expect in a modern classic are present and accounted for including climate control, cruise control and full power accessories.

In short, this 2008 Mustang GT is an awful lot of car for the money. And with only 5,844 gently used miles, it still feels as solid as the day it rolled out of the showroom. There's a reason Mustangs are the most popular pony car of all time, and this GT convertible makes it easy to see why.
