Mustang Owner's Museum Announces Grand Opening Date
Like you, we’re excited to see the progress from the Mustang Owner’s Museum location in North Carolina. The biggest news yet came to our inbox recently as the museum’s construction progress was shared with us along with the news that the museum had chosen a grand opening date. As of this writing the main structure framework is up and the pre-fab walls should be on site soon. The museum is speculating completion of the main building by the end of 2018 and will need an additional few months to complete the interior and move in vehicles and displays, taking final completion into March of 2019. With April 17, 2019, the 55th anniversary of the Mustang roughly a month later it was decided to hold the grand opening on that date due to its significance in the Mustang community. The grand opening will include several events, hosted parties, and more over the course of four days (April 17-20, 2019).
However, the big surprise the museum staff shared with us is that the museum will also be hosting a “55 Years of Mustang” event at the nearby Charlotte Motor Speedway on the same dates. One registration is all you need to attend both events. Your registration will include credentials to attend both the grand opening of the Mustang Owner’s Museum and the 55 Years of Mustang at Charlotte Motor Speedway. The “55 Years of Mustang” event at Charlotte Motor Speedway will include open track, exhibits, vendors, seminars, parade laps, and much more with all Mustangs parking inside Charlotte Motor Speedway.
The grand opening of the Mustang Owner’s Museum event will include a welcome party, the induction of the Museum’s Hall of Fame members, and a Saturday night banquet with guest speakers. On the evening of April 18th, 2019, the museum has also planned to attempt to break the Guinness World Record for a Mustang Parade, which is currently held by an event in Mexico. After a couple of unsuccessful attempts at past events, the museum is hoping that with the 55 Years of Mustang event and the grand opening of the Mustang Owner’s Museum there will be enough Mustangs in attendance to beat the previous record. Even better, the existing infield roads at Charlotte Motor Speedway will be used for the record attempt with no need to use exterior public roads or having to factor in weather.

The brewery is located in the historic Gibson Mill complex in Concord, NC. This facility, formally an old mill, now houses not only the Brewing Company, it is home to the Auto Barn and a huge antique market. This local brewery will be offering beer tours, along with live music and no host food trucks. Guests will also receive an event pint glass.
