Roadster Shop PSA Reminds Us All To Keep A Safe Distance During Pandemic: Video

The media and government are constantly hammering it into our heads that we must wash our hands and keep a safe distance from one another while out in public to help curb the spread of COVID-19. Despite this, it can still be difficult to remember to stay at least six feet away from our fellow shoppers when we’re out at the grocery store or running other errands.

Now, we’ve received a helpful distance reminder that should help us car enthusiasts to remember the unwritten rules of the COVID-19 pandemic, which comes from a rather unlikely source: Mundelein, Illinois-based tuning and restorations company Roadster Shop.

The company recently posted a video to its official Facebook page with the title “Important Roadster Shop PSA: A minimum distance of 6 feet is recommended between vehicles doing burnouts.” The description of the video, which shows a Chevrolet El Camino and Chevrolet C/K pickup truck doing donuts, goes on to humorously state that “donuts are still safe to consume in all formats… and wash your hands after.”

It goes without saying that this video is “neither important, or a PSA” as the video description also points out, but rather a humorous way for Roadster Shop to promote its services amid this rather strange and difficult time. We could all use a laugh and a bit of entertainment right now, though, so we have to send our gratitude to Roadster Shop nonetheless.

Roadster Shop is responsible for building all sorts of impressive custom General Motors vehicles. One of our favorite-ever SEMA cars is the GoPro-sponsored Roadster Shop-built 1970 Chevrolet Camaro that was shown at the show way back in 2014. The car, nicknamed ‘Rampage,’ was heavily inspired by both vintage and modern GM race cars and featured carbon fiber flared wheel arches, a 7.0-liter LS7 crate engine, custom front and rear independent suspension and 18-inch gold anodized two-piece wheels shod in sticky Hoosier tires.
