Vaughn Gittin Jr. and Chelsea DeNofa's new Formula DRIFT rides

By RK Motors - Apr 10, 2018

The sport of drifting is largely populated by import vehicles. However, to bring a little rumble to the sport, RTR team members Vaughn Gittin Jr. and Chelsea DeNofa just debuted their latest 2018 Formula DRIFT rides. The guys will make their debut at this weekend’s Round 1 Streets of Long Beach event. Vaughn will be looking to improve on his 4th place points finish for 2017, and judging by the included video we’re confident Chelsea can greatly improve on his 13th place finishing position, as well.

Both cars are powered by Roush Yates Engines Windsor-based powerplants capable of spinning to 9,000 RPM. Don’t try that at home with your Two-Valve, folks. Both cars were built at the RTR Lab located in the heart of NASCAR country, Charlotte, North Carolina. We can’t wait to see them in action in 2018.

Not sure if we’ve ever seen a more beautiful engine. Powering Vaughn and Chelsea’s Formula DRIFT rides, and making their import counterparts swoon with jealousy, is a Roush Yates Engines’ combination that doesn’t need a power adder. Color us jealous, as well, and just look at those stacks!
