BODYWORK/TRIM

Wrapped in sculpted sheetmetal layered by desirable Interlagos Blue Metallic paint, the muscular proportions of the E92 M3 perfectly complement it's athletic demeanor. An option that was only available on the coupe models, the carbon fiber roof is claimed to save 11 pounds and adds a nice contrast to the car. Up front, black kidney grills top a menacing front bumper that includes lower cooing ducts. The most distinguishing feature of the M3, the protuberant hood, includes a bulge that is necessary for clearance of the V8 powerplant, flanked by two functional hood vents feeding air to the 4.0 liter powerhouse. A set of wheel spacers create the perfect fitment for the forged alloy wheels, while channeled, 'M3' branded side gills continue the sporty aesthetics of the car. At the rear you'll find another 'M3' callout that sits above the aggressive rear bumper, featuring dual exhaust with quad tips that match the finish of the wheels. It all comes together as one very attractive, yet sinister, package that creates massive curb appeal!

DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION

The star of the show is what hides under the sheetmetal. Power is produced by a naturally aspirated 4.0 liter V8 that churns out 414 horsepower at 8,300 rpm and 295 lb/feet of torque at 3,900 rpm! Buyers of the E92 had an option of two gearboxes. A traditional 6-speed manually shifted option, and the remarkable 7-speed dual-clutch transmission that is found in this example. Essentially, a DCT transmission provides full performance capabilities of a vehicle with precise shifts and immediate response times. Dynamics not typically capable by human drivers. The result is a sprint to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds and jolting to over 110 mph in a 1/4 mile! All while roaring angry exhaust notes through a dual-quad tip exhaust system! Keeping things stable is very potent braking and handling hardware. Standard, the M3 is already a pleasure to drive at a high pace. The ZCP "Competition Package" option enhances those superb characteristics by 10mm shorter springs and precision tuning the car's factory Electronic Damper Control and Dynamic Stability Control. The most notable feature of the Comp Pack are the CSL-inspired 19'' forged alloy wheels. Finished in an eye-catching black chrome, they're wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza S04 Pole Position tires measuring 255/35R19 up front and 275/35/R19 at the rear. Together it's a package capable of .9 lateral Gs and keeping a pace that's reserved for modern day supercars!

INTERIOR

Open the doors to a well-maintained interior that's adorned with Palladium Silver Novillo leather and power adjustable sport buckets. Brushed aluminum trim accents the dashboard, door panels, and M-sport gauges that display revs and speed in traditional needle sweeps. The car appears to be well-optioned with power-folding mirrors, iDrive, navigation, bluetooth capability, dual-zone climate control, 3-way heated seats, and many more modern amenities. And the driver enjoys the driving experience through a 3-spoke M steering wheel with tri-color stitching.
