ENGINE

Under the composite bonnet, a Gen III LS1 V8 combines a sturdy aluminum block with lightweight aluminum heads, coil-near-plug ignition and aluminum flat-top pistons to twist a solid 325 horsepower into 350 lb./ft. of Kansas-flat torque. At the top of the engine, cold air induction feeds a factory-spec throttle body, which is bolted to a lightweight, composite intake. High octane fossils are provided by GM electronic fuel injection. Sparks are sequenced through AC Delco plug wires. Spent gases get whisked away by factory manifolds. Cooling comes courtesy of a factory radiator. And, aesthetically, the Cast Silver mill blends seamlessly with the car's spotless, Bright Rally Red engine bay.

DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION

Under this Chevy, clean floors and factory-spec hardware make it clear the car's previous owners were meticulous about maintenance. Behind the engine, you'll find a proven 4L60E 4-speed automatic, which spins a factory torsen differential around sporty, 3.23 gears. Braking is provided by four power-assisted discs, which are upfitted with standard anti-lock technology. Exhaust floats through factory pipes that terminate at polished tips. At the corners, 35th Anniversary-exclusive wheels spin 275/40ZR17 Goodyear Eagle F1s around machined and painted spokes.
