MONOCHROME MAVERICK

A head-turning cruiser that's dashed with a fair amount of modern muscle car swagger, this exclusive C10 features a buckled down, custom appearance that's highlighted by a crisp coat of Bright White two-stage. That pigment wraps a solid profile that, during an acute build, was lovingly massaged to form. And today, this classic rolls as one lights-out custom that's ready to start conversations at the meet or at the stoplight!

There really isn't much you can do to make an Apache-era Chevy more attractive. The truck's sculpted styling was a homerun when originally introduced, and today, it's a prototypical example of the kind of metal that's made traditional Americana so appealing to enthusiasts around the world. At the front of this cool custom, a “CHEVROLET” branded grille tilts crisp Charcoal Gray paint between modern headlights, a Charcoal bumper and Charcoal-trimmed parking lamps. A factory cowl, relieved of its wipers, fronts a big-window cab that's finished with subtle black trim. That trim perfectly complements painted profile spears, which stretch Charcoal Gray borders past filled stake pockets and factory door handles. Widened wheel tubs frame a custom, Charcoal Gray bed, which centers a relocated fuel filler between trick tailgate buckles. And that custom-lettered tailgate shades a custom roll pan between Charcoal-trimmed LED taillights.

Enact this classic's hydraulic hood supports and you'll find an even six liters of proven Chevrolet small block that, officially dubbed the GM LS2, spins smooth horsepower into miles of open-road reliability! At the front of that aluminum mill, a remote K&N filter funnels wind into a flexible tube, which feeds an electronic throttle body. A composite GM intake sends a finely tuned mixture of fuel and air into hot GM 243 heads, which cap stainless shorty headers. Charge is provided by a fluid serpentine drive, which stacks a modern alternator beneath modern power steering. Factory-style coils fire quality Taylor plug wires. A polished aluminum radiator makes excellent use of a big electric puller fan. And the clean, Cast Silver mill rides in a tactical engine bay that pairs a smoothed firewall with custom bracing, custom inner fenders and a neatly lined hood.

BUILT TO RUN

Take a long look under this Chevy and you'll find a roster of significant modifications that add up to impressive dynamics and big performance gains. A tough hydraulic clutch drains a convenient Wilwood reservoir to kick a proven Tremec T56 6-speed, which twists a dressed 12-bolt axle. That axle pushes a C-notched frame that's planted on big sway bars, tubular Classic Performance Products control arms and a quartet of double-adjustable coil-over-shocks. Turns come courtesy of a power-assisted CPP gearbox. Stops are quick and precise thanks to power-assisted CPP calipers, which clamp drilled and slotted rotors. Spent gases are managed by aluminized pipes, which make excellent use of throaty Dynomax mufflers and polished stainless tips. Power pounds the pavement through muted Ridler 695s, which spin 315/30ZR20 Toyo Proxes R888s. And choice detailing includes a coated fuel tank and a relocated Optima battery.
