Lucid serpentine components spin modern GM power steering beneath a modern alternator and a coated AC compressor. Dual SPAL puller fans cool a beefy DeWitts radiator. Chevy Orange valve covers add a bit of retro flair. And aesthetically, the compact mill seems right at home in this Action Line's clean, body-matched engine bay.

The truck's factory chassis rides a carefully lowered suspension that's been thoughtfully upgraded with thick sway bars. That slammed skeleton gets steered through modern power steering. Quick stops are a cinch thanks to a familiar combination of power-assisted discs and drums. The aforementioned headers push exhaust through aluminized pipes that are formed around throaty Flowmaster mufflers. A steady stream of fossils is supplied by an aftermarket tank.
