Buff, bad and ready to roll, this pristine Chevelle is the beneficiary of a ground-up, nut-and-bolt build that was completed in late 2022 by the pros at Sugarloaf, Pennsylvania's Tony's Muscle Cars. Still as fresh as the day it rolled into the sunshine, that high quality restoration dressed solid sheetmetal in an alluring coat of House Of Kolor Apple Red two-stage. And today, this handsome Chevy walks a fine line between tastefully modern and traditionally conservative.

At the front of that Shimrin Kosmic Kolor Kandy, a traditional Super Sport grille centers a prominent “SS” emblem between stainless-trimmed headlights, a small “CHEVELLE” script and a broad bumper that's dotted with clear parking lamps. That bumper reflects a pro-touring chin spoiler, which leads a clean profile that's shaved of everything but bright markers, straight wheel liners and factory door handles. Familiar pins secure a dressed Cowl Induction Hood, which fronts stainless-trimmed glass that's capped by Tan canvas. Polished mirrors point at a polished rear bumper that centers a stylish Super Sport inlay between an ornate Chevelle deck script and factory taillights. And that bumper shades a custom valance that's been fashioned around polished exhaust tips.

ETERNAL CHEVROLET PERFORMANCE

Pop the hood and you'll find 6.2 liters of divine GM small block that's officially known as the LS376/480. Purchased directly from Chevrolet Performance as one of their awesome Connect And Cruise systems, that trusty mill twists respectable 10.7 to 1 compression into 495 horsepower and 473 lb./ft. of street slaying torque. At the front of the block, a remote Spectre filter slinks breeze into a polished tube, which fronts a proven GM throttle body. Dressed fuel rails trace a lightweight GM intake. Air meets spark in rectangular-port L92-style heads, which ride under tasteful, Satin Black coil covers. A nodular crank, powdered connecting rods and hypereutectic pistons compress that volatile union. A racing-inspired LS Hot Cam maximizes intake efficiency. Speaking of breathing, that smooth valvetrain funnels spent gases through iron LS exhaust manifolds. There's a massive Be Cool radiator that's slid in front of a big electric puller fan. Lucid serpentine components spin an aluminum water pump between a muted alternator, a muted AC compressor and a compact Holley power steering pump. Everything communicates well thanks to a predictable Chevrolet Performance ECM. And, as you likely deduced from our high-resolution photos, the Cast Aluminum mill rolls in a dressed and smoothed engine bay that's been drowned in rich House Of Kolor Apple Red two-stage.

RESTO-MOD BLISS

Bottom-side, a sturdy factory chassis proves the perfect foundation for the car's inspired resurrection. Behind the LS3, a requisite hydraulic clutch kicks a Chevrolet Performance Connect And Cruise Super Magnum 6-speed, which spins a tough 12-bolt axle. That tube rides a thoroughly upgraded suspension, which bends a factory sway bar between UMI springs, UMI upper arms and boxed lower arms. At the front of the car, an upsized sway bar leads tubular control arms and two more UMI springs. Factory-style power steering works well with power-assisted Wilwood calipers, which clamp 20 pistons around a quartet of drilled and slotted rotors. Spent gases traverse aluminized pipes to vibrate an H-shaped crossover and mean turbo mufflers. And torque meets the pavement through aggressive Foose Knuckles, which spin 245/40R17 Firestone Firehawk Indy 500s in front of 275/40R18 Firestone Firehawk Indy 500s.

SADDLE VINYL, NOT BEIGE VINYL

Open the doors and you'll find a thoughtfully upgraded cockpit that mixes tight factory upholstery with the best conveniences of a modern commuter. Front and center, a lightly modified dash seats crisp Dakota Digital telemetry next to modern, direct-fit audio and cool Vintage Air conditioning. Speaking of seating, the car's passengers ride either a traditional rear bench or traditional front buckets. Those thrones frame a tidy console that's dotted with a contoured Hurst shifter.
