Description

There is no other vehicle on the planet like a modern Bentley. Period. You can have a lot of fun in an Aston Martin DB9 and you can buy a top of the line Mercedes CL and pretend that you have exclusivity, but nothing matches the combination of prestige, luxury and sheer power offered by the Bentley Continental GT. This hand built 2006 Continental GT is a pristine one-owner car with only 12,460 miles that can hit 60 MPH in 4.7 seconds and reach a sports car matching top speed of 198 MPH, all while coddling you with every luxury option imaginable.

The Continental GT is the first Bentley exclusive product in 70 years, and while some may consider its exterior styling controversial, it is a very distinctive car and certainly looks the part for the coveted GT class. Bathed in smooth Moonbeam Silver, this Continental was hand assembled at Bentley's legendary Crewe England factory and then given a white glove inspection which resulted in spectacularly even paint and panel fitment that is befitting of a million dollar car. Today, with only 2,077 yearly miles logged on its odometer, the car is as fresh and polished as the minute it arrived on American shores. Up front, a pedestrian friendly matrix style plastic core chrome grille sits below an ornate 'flying B' badge and does a very convincing job of simulating mesh. On either side of that grille, standard equipment HID headlights feature auto dimming range adjustment and sit above concealed headlight washers. Below the headlights, a contoured front bumper incorporates a chin spoiler and houses another black plastic matrix style grille that sits between round side mounted marker lights. At the sides of the car, body lines flow from the prominent chrome grille to the rear decklid and combine with wide set tires and pronounced fender lines to create a crouched sports car stance. On the rocker panels a simple piece of chrome flows all the way down the sides of the car from the front bumper to the rear bumper at the body's widest point. On the doors, electrically foldable body colored mirrors feature automatic dimming, redundant turn signals and puddle lamps, and sculpted door handles feature a subtle chrome insert. Above the mirrors, chrome framed double-pane windows keep the cockpit isolated from road noise and create a pillarless hard top look when they're rolled down. At the back of the car, a continental style trunk lid sits below a third brake light that is cleverly integrated into the rear window and features another chrome 'flying B' emblem. At the sides of the trunk, clear tail lights feature a dual oval LED design. Below those tail lights, the rear bumper houses side mounted marker lights, stainless exhaust tips and clear reverse lights with built in ultrasonic parking assist.

No question that this is a very nice looking car, but that's only half the equation. Stuffed with heavy, hand crafted materials and all the luxury amenities anyone could ever need, this car weighs in at just over 5,000 pounds. In an ordinary luxury car, that would create an acceleration nightmare, but not for this Bentley. It's longitudinally mounted twin turbocharged W12 engine makes 552 horsepower and produces a sports car matching 0 to 60 time of just 4.7 seconds and an Autobahn dominating top speed of 198 MPH. Borrowed from parent company Volkswagen, this 12 cylinder beast is configured in four banks of three cylinders each which substantially shortens the length of the motor and allows for sports car proportions. The engine bay is spotless, and has been properly serviced by only qualified factory technicians. A silver and black engine cover lays over everything but a cool stylized Bentley oil cap and features the 'flying B' emblem, chrome “Bentley” script and chrome “6.0 Liter” and “Twin Turbo” badging. The big engine fires up easily, idles as softly as a whisper and it is happy cruising along at gated neighborhood speeds or performing John Force style straightaway runs.

Shifting the massive W12 engine is a 6-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission that was built to cruise on its own, or be performance shifted by a driver. The car rides on a four link double A-arm suspension that has been equipped with a four mode adjustable and self-leveling air system. Power is put to the ground through an Audi sourced Torsen based permanent all-wheel drive system that features traction control, stability control and speed assisted variable ratio power steering. Stopping all of that forward momentum is a four wheel disc brake system with 19 inch front and 18 inch rear ventilated rotors, “Bentley” stamped silver calipers and a standard anti-lock braking system. The car rolls on a set of silver painted 19 inch two piece alloy wheels that feature lockable lug nuts and Bentley center caps with a white on black B in the middle of chrome stamped “Bentley Motors” rings. Mounted to those massive wheels is fat 275/40 Pirelli P-Zero Z-rated performance tires.

The wow factor continues inside, where the interior materials and control layout conspire to create an outstanding cabin. The Beluga black heated leather seats feature 14 way power adjustment with three memory settings and real metal adjustment handles. The leather covers are exquisitely stitched and are more comfortable than any pretty much anything you can buy this side of a Lafer home recliner. Below the seats, fresh black carpet shows absolutely no wear, and above the seats leather sun visors and a Burr Walnut overhead console are attached to a carefully stitched leather headliner. At the sides of the seats, auto latching doors feature leather covered and stitched door panels, Burr Walnut accents, polished aluminum heater vents and chrome plated door handles and window switches. In front of the driver a dual cowl dash is covered in leather and features deep set chrome trimmed gauges in a Burr Walnut bezel that are lit by tranquil lighting. In front of the passenger, more Burr Walnut sits above a locking glove box that houses the cars CD changer. The center of the dash flows into the center console and houses a Breitling clock above a color screen for the cars navigation system which includes Bluetooth connectivity with voice activation. Below the navigation, you'll find textured dials with chrome rings that control the cars four zone climate system and 12 speaker premium DVD/ audio system. Housed inside the stitched and Burr Walnut covered console is a chrome shifter that features a “B” branded lock out button, controls for the cars parking assist and chrome trimmed rotary buttons for the heated seats. Behind the front seats completely finished rear bucket seats are divided by another Burr Walnut, chrome and aluminum trimmed console and sit in front of a completely carpeted trunk with a power operated trunk lid. Connecting the driver to the road is a tilt and telescoping steering wheel that includes controls for the Tiptronic transmission, controls for the cruise function and controls for the rain sensing wipers. The car is covered in 'old world' styling cues like polished aluminum vents, chromed push pull vent controls and genuine chrome accents. And safety equipment includes keyless entry, keyless ignition, a theft deterrent system, front airbags, side airbags and side curtain airbags for each passenger.

Documentation for this car includes the cars original window sticker and original owner's manuals.

Until you've experienced one of these ultimate luxury cars for yourself, it's almost impossible to understand how polished they really are. This low mileage 2006 Continental GT is stunningly fast, excessively opulent, exceptionally handsome and is the best combination of performance, functionality and palatial luxury on the market. If you're looking for a no-compromises luxury performance car, call us today!
