Restored to Perfection

This original low miles Boss underwent a restoration in 2013 by the experts at Vail's Classic Cars in Greenfield, IN. Authentic as it gets with the correct belts and hoses, factory markings and tags along with an Autolite battery. They applied the Medium Lime Metallic paint, 1 of 752 ever made in that color, and it looks incredible!

Boss Engine

The Boss 302 Mustang is powered by a high-performance 302 cubic-inch V8 engine. The engine was specifically designed for Trans-Am racing and featured a high-revving nature, making it suitable for track use. The engine produces 290 horsepower, although some estimates suggest it may have been underrated. The Boss 302 was known for its strong mid-range torque and high-revving capabilities.

Transmission by Ford

Behind that powerful 302 is a close-ratio 4-speed manual transmission, contributing to the car's sporty and engaging driving experience. Rowing through the gears is done via a Hurst shifter located inside the full center console.

Suspension and Handling

The Boss 302 features a sport-tuned suspension system with upgraded shocks, springs, and sway bars. This setup enhances the car's handling characteristics, making it well-suited for both street and track driving. Front suspension is independent upper wishbone, single lower arms with drag struts, coil springs and an anti-sway bar. In the rear you will find a rigid axle and semi-elliptic leaf springs.

Exterior Design, Well Done

The exterior of the Boss 302 has distinctive styling elements, including a "C-stripe" side-stripe design, a front chin spoiler, rear trunk spoiler and a shaker hood scope. It has a more aggressive and purposeful appearance compared to the standard Mustang.

Step Inside This Boss Interior

Inside, the Boss 302 features a functional and driver-oriented cockpit. Equipped with high-back bucket seats, a sport steering wheel, and additional instrumentation to monitor the engine's performance. This one is equipped with a factory AM-FM radio and includes front door speakers.

Trans-Am Racing Success

The Boss 302 was successful in the Trans-Am racing series, and its production was a result of homologation requirements. Ford supplied Boss 302 Mustangs to famous racing drivers like Parnelli Jones and George Follmer who both made racing history driving a Boss.

Limited Production and Extremely Collectable

Ford produced a limited number of Boss 302 Mustangs in 1970. This rarity has contributed to the car's desirability among collectors.
