Hailing from GM's acclaimed Kansas City manufacturing facility, this stunning hardtop is the beneficiary of a high quality, body-off restoration that's so nice it schools factory survivors. After professional metalwork, which resulted in a straight and solid profile, the car's panels were layered in correct Cortez Silver basecoat, accented with Classic Black rally stripes and sealed in a thick clearcoat shell. Once that clearcoat was allotted sufficient drying time, its surfaces were sanded and buffed into a ripple-free finish that's literally as smooth as glass. The optional cowl induction hood drives fresh air to the engine, and chrome hood pins give the car a performance look while adding a secondary level of safety. New vinyl has been applied to the roof and re-chromed bumpers are found front and rear. Today, this top dog Chevelle sits as a spectacular piece of iconic American muscle that's detailed to better-than-new standards.

Under the hood the 454 cu in big block V8 puts the Muscle in Muscle Car. A replacement crate 454 with rectangular port cylinder heads from GM has been painstakingly detailed to give correct appearance. From the correct finishes of the engine block and brake booster to the period branded hoses and tower clamps, it is detailed so well it would make any Kansas City line worker proud. Behind that big block, a heavy duty TH400 automatic transmission twists torque to a 12-bolt, Posi-Traction rear end that's built around familiar, 3.31 gears.

There's a fully restored, and expertly detailed, F41 heavy duty suspension that Chevelle Super Sports are known for, backed by power front disc brakes, and power steering. At the corners, power meets the pavement via attractive Super Sport wheels which spin white letter radial tires.

Inside the black bench seat interior has been completely restored with plush upholstery, crisp door panels, and detailed dash. Ahead of the driver sits the requisite full gauge package including the 6,500 rpm tach exclusive to high performance big block Chevelles. A sport steering wheel, tilting column, and front and rear seat belts round out the amenities.
